I am using this on an iPad Pro with IOS 12.2. I use it connected to various decent WiFi’s with my phone connected to the same WiFis. I’ve gotten it to work. Because I have a keyboard on my iPad, it’s useful when it does.
However, what I find is that when I start using it after some idle time, the conversations are very slow to load. Now the menu that lets you choose conversations load very quickly. So I know it’s working. And usually, if I have the patience, a conversation loads after a while. It’s just that that time to load can be 5 or more minutes. Once the first conversation loads, I can switch between conversations fine.
I don’t get this at all. It might be the adware is slowing it. For example, the area where the conversation goes has a big ad for the Mac version of the app with a link to it. (A link that, of course, you can’t use from the iPad.) Who knows. It just doesn’t work.
I don’t know if I’ll continue to try and use this.
