Midpoints

This is the only IOS app that shows midpoint trees. That alone makes it indispensable. It does almost everything very well. There have been a few time zone issues, but the developer has been responsive and quick to repair. If the app adds solar charts and transits to your current location, it will be a five star Hall of Fame app.

Impressive App for the serious Astrologer

Stumbled upon this rough diamond whilst looking for a decent app to calculate charts. Surprisingly there’s not that many good affordable options out there. I’m mainly interested in traditional astrology and my preferred app, although excellent, isn’t really geared towards traditional, but I’m happy to see this ticks many of my boxes. It has something for every astrologer though including some options I haven’t seen in other apps such as a financial module, Uranian charts and Zodiacal Releasing. I only have a few grumbles - sometimes the presentation is a bit lacking - such as text and boxes overlaying others, really low res and pixelated buttons for some options and a crash or two, but as your charts are saved it’s not an issue. Nice to see that it is regularly updated, despite being out for quite a while. I’d like to see some more features for horary - somewhere along the lines of Planetdance on Windows and perhaps the option to turn the chart. Don’t let my quibbles put you off - I’m sure this app could replace the bigger (and more expensive) charting apps out there for a lot of people. Speaking of which - you can also import and export Solar Fire charts making it an ideal companion app if you use that software on the desktop. More astrologers should know about this app.

Thank you for your 5-star review. Appreciated! If you have the time please email support screenshots of the offending views. There are so many views in AC I don’t get to see some of them for years! Different versions of iOS and screen sizes tends to screw with them somewhat. I’d be happy to fix. Similarly with any crashes. Thanks. Update. I’ve fixed many of the duplicated texts. And improved many views with regard to iOS 15+.

Wonderful Astro App!

I have Astro Gold and other astrology apps. My studies have evolved towards traditional and Hellenistic astrology. I have had difficulty finding Zodiacal Releasing in an app. This app has ZR from spirit. I’m hoping it will include ZR from fortune soon and also ZR to level 4 as I only see it to level 3. That would be a dream come true. Aside from that wish list, I love the layout and all the bells and whistles this app has. Astro Gold appears to be getting ignored by its developers for IOS as they have now come out with a Mac version so getting any attention for new things to be added is not happening. This app has more to it IMO than my old favorite go to. Yay! Thank you!

SO MANY FEATURES!

I purchased AC this morning. I’ve played around with it some — and look forward to learning the entire feature set — which is extensive. AC arguably has the most complete feature set of any astrology program in the App Store.

There are two things I have noticed so far that need work. Firstly, the touch interface is not always responsive. It can be managed — but it often takes effort.

The second issue I’ve had so far concerns time zones. For whatever reason, the major city near my birthplace (Nashville TN) observed daylight savings time in 1948 & 1956 — while some of its suburbs remained on standard time. Not only does AC not account for this, the program will not let me change the value. No matter what i do, the value remains CDT -5. It should be CST -6. The only way I could get correct coordinates was to enter my birth time incorrectly — as 5:30 PM instead of 4:30 PM. It’s a work-around — but definitely not ideal. With time zones being what they were in those years, the user should be able to modify the time zone and have the program accept the override.

UPDATE: I’m updating my review to 5 stars. The developer was awesome. The program actually does have a fix built in for my problem. THANKS!

Thanks for your detailed review and the four stars. Appreciated! I’m sorry you have a problem with time zones. Time zones have long been a problem in astrology. However, AstroConnexions does have a solution to your problem. Go to edit chart and long-press over the Time of Birth field. A Time Zone Fix table allows you to enter the appropriate time zone. The Best iPad software available A+

I have been using this app for over 2 yrs. and it has been my main charting software as I learn and expand as a professional astrologer. This software is my main choice for charting simply for the fact how fast one can scan through solar, lunar, progression charts without constantly having to re-input data as with astro com.I feel this program is going to merge into if not already a very powerful package.I am very impressed with the upcoming upgrades as well as the aspect interpretations.
Huge bonus. With the addition now Of basic aspect interpretations this will help the mind flow faster and latch on to aspect concepts fast, for an astrologer this is amazing addition as it helps streamline mental process to deeper meanings without loosing time.

Some minor details eventually I would suggest adding is easier input for the re-location data for chart returns to be more easily accessed. I feel if there was a way to make easier re- locations inputs possibly with a user input of their most used locations with quick access would be extraordinary helpful and less cumbersome specially with the already fast ability to scan sub charts. Also the ability to add asteroids & meridian Uranian dial option since the Neptunian planets are already in this package.
Otherwise this software is amazing. Great Job~

I feel sure I'll be able to implement your excellent ideas with regard to improving access to re-location data for Returns. Sorry that I haven’t implemented this as yet, Jan 2020. I must remember to do this!!

For the experienced

If you know how to cast and read charts, you will love it! Nothing else comes close.
Be cool if it did Aries Point, solstice charts. Or 90*charts. Other than that it has everything else I've wanted.

Great Astrology App

As a self learning Astrologer, I wanted to be able to compile charts quickly, flexibly and colourfully. This delivered. In the future I would love to see info for newer asteroids such as Eric and Haumea. But thank you for a good valued and fully functional app.
