Description of AC Clairity

Configure or reconfigure your nLight AIR lighting control system from Acuity on your mobile phone or tablet. The Clairity mobile app from Acuity Controls, allows end users (electrical contractors, sales agents, or facility maintenance professionals) to startup, configure, troubleshoot, and reconfigure nLight AIR wirelessly from a smart phone or tablet. The Clairity app is optimized for efficient onsite startup and maintenance activities. It allows end-users to easily modify the settings and operation of the fixtures, sensors, and wall switches in a zone, aiding in meeting energy code requirements. For larger installations, multiple users may use the Clairity mobile-application simultaneously to reduce onsite time. Leave the ladder and laptop in the truck! Using Bluetooth™ Low Energy (BLE) communications, users configure zones of fixtures and wall switches without the need for special hardware adaptors or wires. Utilizing a simple, visual interface, that provides real-time feedback, configure the equipment to work together for a consistent look or allow each fixture to operate independently. No Wi-Fi? No cellular service? No problem. We know the wireless and cellular coverage can be spotty in commercial buildings. You can make programming adjustments even with Clairity completely offline. Once your mobile device senses a connection to the internet, all of the configuration parameters will be backed up in the cloud! Features: • No Charge • Use one app for all of your nLight AIR projects • Graphical group / zone assignments • Photosensor grouping, auto-calibration and fine-tuning • Occupancy sensor time outs and sensitivity adjustments • Supports one or more simultaneous users on the same project • Firmware updates for nLight AIR devices • Accessibility controlled through login credentials • Share completed projects with end users for ongoing minor adjustments • Never lose programming – even if you lose your phone

  • Works great

This last update fixed all of the prior issues. I only have a few comments, can you make it so the app remembers your password and can you make it so a light switch can control multiple zones example, I have a lobby that has a primary and secondary daylight zone, so I need the primary zone to follow one photocell and the secondary to follow a different photo cell and this part work great, but my issue is that I want both zones to be controlled by one light switch and currently it won't let me add one switch to 2 zones.

This app is poorly designed and programmed.

There are too many menus and submenus, and each needs to load. You are required to place the lights in a physical map when grouping them, but the map bugs out. You are required to create the site from the webpage (can't do it in the app), but can't save yourself time by creating a physical map or group names from a computer.

Oh, and this app requires and consumes your data while doing this. Lose data service, and the whole thing freezes because it can't sync. The idea of saving the whole site to the cloud seems great, but the implementation is awful.

Not to mention the whole app is buggy. It freezes, crashes, doubles fixtures, loses them, times out, or refuses to commission/decommission them for no reason at all.

The time wasted almost makes it not worth buying the great fixtures it's supposed to work with.
