Description of Solfeggio

If learning to read music is your goal Solfeggio is the app for you! - Note reading Quiz - - Key Signature Quiz - Major, Minor Uses a smart algorithm for a faster learning curve, in simple words, wrong given answers will appear more often to help remember them faster. After four years of teaching piano and music to children, I found that for them, the hardest part in learning how to play was learning how to read and understand a new language. The best way to learn a new language is through immersion and repetition. This is where Solfeggio was born. After giving the children an easy to learn and fun to play game, their understanding and recognition of the notes grew exponentially. I soon came to realize that this app had the potential to help all budding piano players, young and not so young, to learn to read notes and gain confidence in their playing. Unlike other music apps, Solfeggio is using a smart algorithm. It keeps count of correct and incorrect answers and as the player progresses, the notes or key signature that are harder for the player to remember repeat more often. Solfeggio helps players to push past their weak points and become proficient in all areas of music reading.

Reviews of Solfeggio

  • Just ok

As a piano teacher I wanted an app to help students review key signatures. It would be helpful if for beginning students I could select only Major or minor instead of them being combined. An added bonus would be to able to select only the specific signatures from the circle of fifths to quiz the kids as they are introduced to them. Unfortunately I’m not sure I’ll be using this app very often.
  • Excellent- needs just one thing:

    Tenor clef

    Developer Response

I need to completely rewrite the app codebase, but in the next version I’ll make sure to add that.
  • WRONG KEY SIGNATURES

    wrong key sigs...

    Developer Response

Which key signature, I’m genuinely intrigued, it’s all correct on my end.
