West is better
Don't buy packs from this game. I bought a double gold Thanksgiving pack and only received the single rewards. Sent a complaint and was basically told to go look for the gold a week after a week of complaining. This was not the first time I bought a pack from this game and didn't get the gold or boosts in the pack. Don't play this game. They say no Chinese playing but it's still the Chinese taking your money and not giving what you buy.

Clash of Kings - The West
Fun, complex game. Too easy to buy one's way to the top making it most difficult for non-spenders to survive, but not impossible! Also, is significantly cheaper to advance without a large monetary investment like in the current Clash of Kings.
A changed strategy
What was once a great game, that limited hackers and those who exploited the original game, has become far worst. A recent development of unannounced events or tests, that permit players to loot other kingdoms has now made the playing experience far worst than dealing with big money spenders. My suggestion is do not invest time or money here.

Not for the casual gamer
There are two big problems with this game for the casual gamer. 1) If you're not willing to invest many hours each day or hundreds of dollars, you can't be competitive. 2) They change the game frequently, adding tweeks here and there, that often are poorly managed and result in more difficulty for the casual gamer.
In addition, the game is extremely buggy.
Having said all that, it's relatively fun if you're willing to invest most of your free time over months and months and enjoy being encouraged to purchase game packages that range in price from .99 cents to $100.

Epic
I love this game! They are always working on the game to try and make it competitive but fair and balanced as well. Never had a problem with a purchase and they are very quick to fix any bug or lag and issues. Very addicting but can break your heart as well. Just think of the heartbreak when your favorite character dies on Game Of Thrones; your angry or furious but you will always keep watching.

Locked out
I have played original Cok for 2 years and now Cok West for 3 weeks. I have made purchases on my new game accounts. However, at this time, I am unable to log into any of my FB bound accounts. I have mailed support, game Mods, as well as support through FB. I am still locked out unable to collect daily rewards that I have paid for. I will seek a full refund if the game developers do not resolve this. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Can't even begin playing.
After three version updates, this game still crashes when going into the tutorial. I had high hopes that the "Skip Tutorial" button introduced in this version would bypass the bug, but they may as well have called it the "Instant Crash" button.
As a longtime player of the original COK, the concept is interesting. But not being able to even start playing means that even a great concept is pretty much worthless.
