This allows you to control VLC without installing any other software on your computer. The setup tutorial was well explained and simple and the app works great. It was also cheaper than some of the other apps I looked at. I used it to stream videos from my computer to the Chromecast <-The only issue I had with that was with subtitles and from what I’ve read this is a problem with VLC itself (due to chromecast) and likely to be fixed in VLC 3.1.Show lessenglisheater

Ok but very intrusive ads
Works ok but intrusive ads that pop up which the premium version doesn’t seem to remove? Also should use a simple colour scheme (black or white) rather than bright pink which looks cheap. Simple fixes will transform this app.Z0d

Great app
I bought the ad free version of this only and it worked great for a few months. It then got updated and had ads. I was extremely upset about it and contacted the developer. They quickly responded by saying to reinstall the app and then go to the “purchase page” in the app and select “restore” and it worked. No more ads! I’m very happy now as this was my favorite VLC remote. Thank you!!Show lessHotsauceMD

VLC 3.0 support?
This doesn’t appear to be fully working with VLC 3.0. There are no controls for selecting renderer to cast to a device and the controls for volume and selecting the next track don’t work. Also the app does not go to the next track automatically in a playlist.f locus
