  • Did your UX designer leave?

I love fantasy pros. I spend up to an hour a day most days reading and looking at the data. Primarily because the UX is so beautifully tailored to what I need to do as a fantasy owner.

However, the update today looks like someone without fantasy knowledge joined your design team. The use of large photos on the news feed is just a waste of space. They “ranking” diagram is not he first thing I need to see everyday. Given how infrequently that will change over other information it forces me as a user to scroll for the dynamic data you are so producer a sharing.

The grouping of data is fine. I’ll get used to that. I hope you at least fixed the bug where when you switch teams the setting for owner, available, taken is reset.

Overall I am disappointed from a company who I have used an example for great design.

  • Recent update is amazing!

I wrote a review complaining about how some previous features were missing from the latest overhaul and fantasy pros quickly added them all back in. Really impressive turn around time and it’s good to see that they are listening. This app condenses everything I need from the fantasy pros website into an easy to use form on my phone. Thank you!

  • And right back to a 5-star rating

Admittedly, I was pretty unhappy with this app being changed in the middle of football season (as opposed to during the off-season). And my feelings about losing the ability to rank players by filtering experts? Well, those feelings ranged somewhere between “quiet—yet dignified—disappointment” and “apoplectic rage”.

But here’s the thing: these developers actually listen to their customers. The expert ranking issue? Fixed by the very next DAY (on a Sunday, no less). To me, that kind of responsiveness is not only impressive—it is also more than enough to cancel out any misgivings I originally had about the app, and “My Playbook” is once again very much deserving of its 5-star ranking.

I’d also say that these folks have earned a bit of trust with the way they’ve handled this, so if an update glitch or temporary omission occurs in the future, I will be a lot more patient. Sorry for underestimating your customer service team, FF Pros—thanks for all you do.

    Developer Response

Hi, Thanks for the feedback. We just sent out an update to the app that should make the yours/taken/available players much easier to see. Additionally the pick experts functionality has been added back in. Please let us know what you think about the new update. - The FP Team
  • Good update but...

Very happy with some of the features brought back with today’s update however, there’s one big thing that is killing me. There really needs to be titles to each stat column in order to click and sort by said stat. For example, if you go to stat leaders, it will sort RB’s by fantasy points. There used to be sorting by each stat column. I really would like to still be able to click on receptions, or targets and then see the rankings reflect that. Otherwise this lack of feature really washes every other stat column and you have to then just eyeball each player scrolling down.

  • Bring Back Shading for Available, On-Team in Rankings!

My favorite feature of the app has been the ability, when looking at rankings, to see at a glance who is on my team, and what free agents are available. The latest release adds pretty pictures, but has taken away shading to indicate if a player is already owned, a free agent, or owned by another team. This greatly diminishes The value and functionality of the rankings.

  • App ok. New update bad

Have had this app for a few years. Always enjoyed it, but with this latest update the App just got a lot heavier and harder to navigate. Way to many clicks to get to the premium section, which is the main reason to have this app. Notifications also no longer take you anywhere when clicked. They just open the app so who knows how to get to the actual storyline. Don’t see where multi league assistant is anymore. Was nice when I could look up a player and know which of my leagues he was available on.

I get the direction, but release seemed rushed. Hope a fix comes out soon.

  • V2 is a significant downgrade from V1

V1 was great. V2 has slicker graphics and less functionality. Your team’s players are no longer highlighted in the player field when looking at rankings.
In V1 you were able to choose the ‘experts’ you wanted to use for the rankings. Version 2 only offers the option to use all ‘experts’ for the rankings. (including those schleps from CBS...how do they have jobs? I mean seriously...). Boo. V2 also lost the weekly fantasy team ‘head to head’ view.

I do sincerely appreciate the new Drew Breese and Tom Brady head shots in the rankings list... because...you know...head shots are super important to my decision making! However, when you have a bunch of teams it’s a much nicer feature to be able to look at a highlighted (text) list and make snap decisions...you know, like in version 1.0.

Is there any way to revert to version 1.0?

  • Each feature gained is a feature lost.

Every time there an update something seems to be lost. As an example, the layout was changed to have things where they make more sense, which did happen. However, now when you rank you own players vs. those on the waiver wire there’s no distinguishing color separating the two preventing you from quickly glancing to see where your guys rank compared to those available to name name one. Feels like every “update” is a completed rewrite.

  • App changes

Maybe I’m not use to the new app changes but there are a couple areas I’m happy with.
    1. Under player rankings you no longer highlight those that are on a team. This was a quick snapshot of all players and who is available.
    2. Start sit assistant. I have not figured out how to apply to my current league.

Update, I see how to handle my second concern. Just question the timing of rolling out changes. During offseason or pre-season would be best IMO

  • You guys are LEGIT

Ever since I started listening to your app and listening to your podcast my fantasy teams have been the best. I’ve made it to the championship four years in a row and won twice. I lost the other two due to injuries while in the playoffs. I am grateful that I found this app so I can continue to the latest news, rankings and waiver wire additions. Thank you for all that you do. You’ve got a lifetime member.
