Not able to make this work with my DS413J
I suspect this only works with other Synology products and not the built in vpn in their NAS devices. Website suggests you have to buy extra licenses. Cannot work out whats going on from hunting the web.Mugsy jnr
They should tell you it's a yearly subscription
I set this up, bought a certificate, spent several hours and money on it following tutorials, succeeded in connecting to my home vpn (gb fiber), and discovered my phone then had no internet connection. A little more looking around the routers control panel and I discovered you need a yearly VPN license from Synology. Bad form! Tell me in the tutorial!Show lessfriesdan
Seriously lacking in user friendliness
I'm sure this works, but getting it to work is a nightmare. It claims it is easy to setup... I keep getting unable to connect. Constantly. Better help articles on the main site would be marvellous, not this complicated mess and assumption that every one works for NASA.

Great VPN App: Gets the Job Done!
Overall the vpn works great, I can use it from anywhere and the auto reconnect feature is really handy.
I am experiencing occasional disconnects, but I believe that to be my internet provider's fault.
It is also really helpful to be able to view a list of my past vpn credentials in the app and be able to switch the address I connect to on the go.
