won’t even load
When I open the app it goes through the background story at the beginning, and once Max and his brother go through the portal in the video, the screen goes black with what looks like a small white joystick or button in the bottom right corner. After that nothing else loads or happens.McDepressy
Major control issues
Fun game, but too many places where the controls freeze or don’t work. Issues primarily around the use special powers. Save your money until these problems are fixed.Demicrown
Great Game...but
This is brilliant. The story is great and the challenges are excellent.
However, it’s supposed to ‘save’ where you left off but I find that I accidentally press the 3 lines in the top right and I end up losing all my progress!GrazB

Serious glitch in Mustacho’s Dungeon
This could be a great game! The controls need work-their placement makes it difficult to maneuver Max at times, but I’m managing. I’ve managed to get to level 6-1, unfortunately, it doesn’t appear I’ll be able to finish the game- the screen goes black in this level- I start over only to have it happen again. I’d happily have given this four stars, but at the premium price point, persons should be able to finish the game. Fix the glitch please.Show lessSnapdragon0827
Terrible Controls!
A game that has a “feature” that requires you to swipe up from the bottom of the screen during gameplay? Half the time the app whizzes off. The “jump” button only works about 80% of the time. Most times you cannot see enough of the screen to see what monster is lurking for you. You have to die and try again... over and over and over. Best and Brightest
This is one of the Best and Brightest games I have played on the iPhone. Not only are the graphics out of this world! The storyline for each stage is well thought out and fun to play. I only hope there is another Max adventure for the iPhone in the works and released very soon. My hat goes off to everyone that had a part in bringing this amazing game to the App Store.

Beat the game and started working on the evil eyes and such but now I cannot access each level individually because nothing shows up....

Fun game but...
This is one of the best games I have played in awhile. Unfortunately there are some issues. The game is laggy and runs poorly the farther you get in the game. It also keeps crashing on me right in the middle of a level and I keep having to start them over. It’s actually getting to the point where I can’t even finish a level. Also the level where you are escaping with the brother in the metal ball has a glitch where you are unable to get the ambulate piece. Max is unable to jump up into the room on the left side to get the piece. I wish you would fix the problems in an update soon because it really is a fun game, when it works...Show lessEleta85
Awesome game
Playing on iPhone X and I’ve not had any of the issues reported such as the 20 FPS etc, it’s a really great game, looks awesome on my phone and I imagine it plays very well on the big screen as well, quite a neat little plat-former puzzle game that’s a bit grittier than you’d think from the first cutscene.
I do have some minor annoyances with the game though. If you put it down the screen will lock where as most apps will hold it open, and also you cant configure where the controls are placed. I frequently send max plummeting towards his death because I accidentally hit the joystick instead of drawing the branch I had intended because the two are so close together and the camera can’t be adjusted. I also end up flicking to the homesceeen a lot because somethings are so close to the bottom of the screen. Other than that I love the game and £5 was bargain as far as I’m concernedShow lessIsthisnicknametakenaswell??
