  • Make sure it works before you take out a full page ad…

    Saw this in the first GLFL magazine this month and was genuinely excited to sign up. When I went to submit everything, the dreaded “Oops… Something went wrong. Please try again.” error came up. Most of these are user errors (let’s be honest), so I went back and checked all my entries to make sure I filled everything out correctly… but still the error. So I gave up and might “try again later” if I remember to.

    So today’s lesson: bug check your apps before you take out a full page ad to solicit new users — especially when the feedback I can see from the last 2-3 years has some significant bug reports in them already.

  • Unusable

    Edit: after 2 updates, still does not work for the exact same reason listed below.

    Will not send verification email. When you click “resend code”, it logs you out and starts the annoying loop all over again.
  • Glitchy with information

    I keep setting the dates I was initiated, passed, and raised. It will glitch and put the wrong dates. I also put in my birthday, and it glitches and puts the wrong date. There’s a lot of other bugs. The app is cool for media purposes but I can’t trust it at this point.

I’m happy to say that we are aware of these bugs and have resolved them in v3.3.4, which will be released to our beta testers tomorrow (02 NOV 21) and should be live by the end of this week.   • Great App!!!

    This app is great and continues to get better and better! Wish more Lodges and GL’s would adopt Amity’s system. Great work Brothers!
  • Very poor UI

    I’m not going to scroll through a list of thousands of lodges to find my mother lodge, particularly when it no longer exists. I feel there is a basic lack of knowledge as to how Freemasonry works by the developers. If you select a random mother lodge you are then stuck with it.

When we first launched Amity we started with a basic app to see if the Brothers would enjoy it, and now—as Masons do—we are improving. Please keep an eye out for an update in the next few weeks.   • Amazing app

    As the current master of a blue lodge, under the grand lodge of New York. We were just informed that we’re going to an updated dues card and with technology changes everyday, this will put lots of doubt about non-brothers trying to enter the lodge, under false information. I’m happy to have it.
  • Does not validate

    As much as I would like this app to work, I never get a validation code in email. It has been nearly a week and I have yet to get the validation code in email. I have checked my junkmail, reinstalled the app, but it simply does not work for me.
  • Amity app

    I really can’t say how this particular app does in reality. I can say it will download and install. It prompts for your contact info and says it is sending confirmation to your email. It’s been two weeks but still no email. I have tried to “contact us” links on the websites — yep, you guessed it — no response. Sure am glad this app is free, I’d hate to see what their billing response is to get my money back. Definitely not ready for prime time...

    Trying to register for app but still waiting for my verification in my email. Checked and my email is correct. Been 7 days and still waiting
  • Interesting

    This is an easy and unique way to validate memberships on-the-fly. While
    nothing replaces an examination, it still serves a purpose. I’m holding off on 5-stars until the time comes when this app allows for dual/plural membership options.

Alternatives to Amity
