I should have given it more of a chance
I had gotten this game a while ago, played it briefly and gave up. It seemed like I had to purchase clues too often and I was frustrated. It must have been me at that time.
I retried it again recently, and the gripes I had weren’t accurate. I was frustrated because there wasn’t a map, but each chapter only has three scenes to work through, you don’t need a map. I thought I couldn’t find clues, but they were all there, and I could find them now. There are video walkthroughs online if you need help, but they weren’t really necessary…I did use one for one puzzle because I use HOG’s to fall asleep and I didn’t want to wake up too much to solve the puzzle, but I could have slogged through it if I was willing to wake up.
I would have liked more character development in the story, but the puzzles were reasonable and challenging. I will be purchasing more from Haiku, and I am sorry I didn’t give it a more patient start at the beginning. Once you get in the groove of how the game functions, it becomes really engrossing and enjoyable.
