If Izzyoc and Opinion do not like this game, what are the odds that I will? Slim to None? I will get back to you after I try it out! BigFish, stop wasting our time! Give us the new Dreampath already!
Funny that you listened and gave us the game, which got raves from KimTwilight! This game however was very average. It had certain features we like but was also lacking otherwise.
First of all there were 3 difficulty settings, with no option to customize your settings. There were no glints except for the HO scenes. The game was lengthy and had a bonus adventure. The graphics were pretty but not sharp; I thought there was a lot of pixilation. At each location you collect a morphing origami crane. Loading was instantaneous between locations and there was a marked teleport map to transport you. Inventory was labeled and there were complex items to assemble. There was no journal but objectives were regularly updated. The storyline was simple to follow, and also unoriginal. The HO scenes were of 4 types: word lists, morphing objects, finding related items, and using one object to unlock another one via silhouette. The puzzles were boring and a lot were rotational. I found the game glitchy, with hard tapping required and a lot of difficulty when combining objects in the HO scenes. This game was tedious to play and there were no interesting gimmicks, so it seemed dated. Oh, I forgot! You had magical ink to use on scrolls to unlock more of the story (similar to the books in Mad Head games). I never heard of the developer before and if this was the best quality I do not want to play another of their games! My actual rating is 2.5 stars and I am being generous for the new year!
Happy New Year, DTE and reviewers!
