What is Road to Mental Readiness (R2MR) Mobile Application? • It is a bilingual mobile training tool (adjunct to classroom training) developed to improve short-term performance and long-term mental health outcomes • Provides the tools and resources required to manage and support CAF member, family members and the general public. R2MR training is layered and tailored to meet the relevant demands and responsibilities CAF personnel encounter at each stage of their career and while on deployment. GOING BEYOND THE CLASSROOM Recognizing that repeated application and practice of mental skills in the training environment improves retention and effectiveness, the R2MR program has expanded training beyond the classroom environment. This includes providing personal training tools directly to CAF members by developing a mobile application, improving the ability of CAF course instructors to coach mental skills in regular training activities, and improving the ability of the CAF leadership to mentor these skills through the career cycle. Even better, integration with Apple’s Health app, HealthKit, will allow you to measure your heart rate before, while, and after using R2MR’s Tactical Breathing exercise to compare your results.
