  • Add quantity button

I just got this app yesterday and I already love it but, I wish the app had a quantity option for the ones you already have. I have two of some pens and one of others. Other then that I love this app!
  • Like app, could use more brands

I love the way this app works! However, I have found new markers that are very high quality for their price and now are using those (Ohuhu Honolulu). I would love to see more marker brands added to the app. Right now I’m using Copic suggestions to give guidance, but as they often have different scales it is only sometimes useful. However, for anyone using copics or prismacolors this app is amazing!

  • Only App of its Kind!

There are no mobile apps that do what this app does. There are no web pages that can do this either. I have tried to create a simple crosswalk for the meager inventory of Copic, Blick, TomBow, Faber-Castell, and Chameleon markers—about 100 total—and gave up in frustration and exhaustion.

I have rudimentary Python programming skills; basic Natural Language Processing skills; intermediate Excel, Access, and Neo4j skills; and an unsurpassed intolerance for poor UI/UX design. I can assert with some degree of authority that this is worth 5 stars.

  • Already Dissapointed

Been playing with this for the past several hours, and I have to say, I’m already very disappointed with it. It keeps trying to lump a HUGE range of colors under one single match, it doesn’t allow for scrolling through the entire range of matches to see if there’s a better fit, and it seems to interpret every color as being much more gray than they really are. I’m already getting incredibly frustrated and irritated with this app, and I’ve had it less than a day.

  • Great app to catalogue my markers

Great little app to keep a catalogue/inventory of my new markers. I have a mix of 3 different cheaper brands, but the numbers match the Touch Twin markers - making it easy to have a list of all my colours.
  • Great App

My first review, ever. I was moved by the privacy policy alone to give 5 stars! Terrific product and super helpful. Was so excited to see Ohuhu markers coming soon. Wish there was a way for the community of users to expedite addition(s). Yet, Overall awesome. Thank you!

Thanks, Happy, there is... I've had a lot of difficulties trying to get the Ohuhu color lists. I've only been able to find one chart of their 120 line dual tip which I found out is NOT the same as their 200 double tip. So if anyone has a full color chart you can either email it to me at raydreams.studios [at] gmail or send me an email via www.raydreams.com. Also follow on Instagram @markermatch and we'll try to get some feedback from users. My time working on the app is limited so I would like to focus on what the users want.
  • Upgrade suggestions

I like this app & it is easy to use. However, is there a way to look for substitutes between different brands? For example, if I could enter in a Copic marker and it could tell me which Spectrum Noir is the best match (or even which of the same brand re the best matches), this would make this app much more valuable to me. Also, I entered my Spectrum markers into this app, but found that I have many markers that are not listed in this app. Can it be upgraded to include all Spectrum colors, including the triblends?

Hi, Melissa, Actually you can cross compare colors from brands. Find a color in the Products tab, and then hold press your finger on the row and choose 'Copy to Inpuraydreams.studios [at] gmail or send me an email via www.raydreams.com. Also follow on Instagram @markermatcht' which will send that marker's value to the input tab. Now just change the Brand chooser to the brand you are interested in. Yes, all the various product lines continue to grow and its tough keeping up with their additions. However, you can let us know what is missing by contacting us at raydreams.studios [at] gmail or send me an email via www.raydreams.com. Also, follow us on Instagram @markermatch.
  • Great app

This app really comes in handy when I’m at the art shop finding the right markers. Finding the exact colors I need. The only thing is that this app crashes when trying to swatch screenshot images. Trying to find out which colors of copic I already have in blicks.

    Developer Response

Thanks. We'll look into the crash. It sounds like when you are choosing an image from your photo album to sample colors from? You can contact us at raydreams.studios [at] gmail or send me an email via www.raydreams.com to give us more info. Thank you for supporting the app.

  • Color chart or color groups

I just started using this and there is a lot to like.

I only encountered one thing that made the interface difficult to use. When you search for a color by name or number, and find it....The button to select it is covered up. So it renders this function unusable. iOS keyboard cannot be moved out of the way (I think it’s stupid that Apple made the keyboard minimize button obsolete. They removed it). Perhaps the selection button could be moved to the top of the screen?

    Wish list -
    1) In order to truly love this app, I would really like to see a few that organized your marker collection by color group. Or showed you all of the swatches in a big chart. (The Copic marker app has both of these and it gives a lot more meaning and use.)

Basically, if I have gone to all the effort to input all of my markers, I would like to get to see all of them in different groupings to have a better visual on what I have. Having them in a list isn’t really doing that for me.

    2) I thought that it was going to let me see all of my colors from different brands, together. To get an idea of my overall collection.

    3) I also thought that the app was going to show me a spectrum, overall of all my markers. So that I could see where I had big gaps. Where the visual would be a long rectangular rainbow, with rectangles indicating the colors. Or something similar. So when you have many shades that are similar, it’s a smoother gradient. And when there is a jump between colors you get a block of flat color.

Again, I love the idea of this app. And it is useful for at least me and just documenting which colors I have.

I just find that without the features that I mentioned above, the usefulness is very limited. But with features like the above, I would find myself accessing this app all the time.

Thank you so much for supporting Marker Match. I not sure on which screen you are having issue but you can send a screen shot to raydreams.studios [at] gmail and I can look into it. I agree the Find tab is getting crowded and so is probably time for a redo. Yes the inventory feature was never even part of the original idea and so many features have been added. All these suggestions are a great idea - various ways to view your collections. I honestly never thought users would find the collections feature all that useful so I need to totally rethink the organization of the app now. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of time to give Marker Match the love it deserves. I never really wanted to charge for it. However, I will definitely add all these suggestions to the TODO list. None the less thank you for supporting the app.
