  • Magic

I’ve been a DayTwo member since the early days, almost 6 years now. I’ve used the app on and off over that time and they continue to make improvements.

Even though I am not diabetic, diabetes runs in my family. Now that continuous glucose monitors are available over the counter, I’ve gotten one and am blown away by the ability of DayTwo to predict my glucose response. It’s amazing!!!

I have NO idea why every major news outlet isn’t covering what they’ve achieved. Last week I was on a plane and had with me English toffee and string cheese. I wanted to buy a nip of baileys and make an Irish coffee.

I didn’t want to spike my sugar because there was no way to exercise off the extra glucose. I entered what I wanted into the app, hit the AI button and it told me I could have a piece of toffee, two pieces of string cheese and my Irish coffee. It was right! I had my treats and my glucose hardly moved.

I’ve learned bread and rice are pretty much poison for me and chocolate is usually okay…. But that’s what makes the app genius… I don’t have to guess. It tells me and it’s correct.

(My doctor even tested my postprandial insulin response and that was improved too.)

I get to eat a huge variety of food and I’m always satisfied after a meal. I don’t have that urge to keep eating. I feel like I finally have control AND flexibility.

The new’ish AI feature is awesome! The latest update is a bit slow to load but I’m sure they’ll fix that.

I highly recommend the DayTwo program!

  • Poor change to app makes it not worth using

I thought this app was much better before they changed the data display. You used to be able to keep a running total score for the day of all the things you have eaten. That is no longer available as the app only does a single meal relative to the scoring. This makes it much less valuable as I can’t know how I did on a given day which is much more important than a single meal, snack or beverage. As a result I rarely use the app anymore and no longer recommend it. Support told me they wants people to focus more on individual meals and not get disheartened by a bad day. Thanks big brother but the app was better before. I like using the full data how I want to use it.

  • Solid, well written app

I have found this app very useful in tracking my health. The app is rock stable, runs smoothly, and has a vast food database that rarely comes up empty. It’s easy to use.
