Fantastic App

I am absolutely loving the app so far. I do think that more content would be great, but it is absolutely a game changer for students. I just got an A on my first mechanisms exam basically by reading the Wikipedia articles for each and playing with this app.

Also, I will say that the one-star reviewers could learn to be a little more constructive with their criticisms. Sure, problems can be frustrating, but calling this the “worst app ever” and “so stupid” is a little juvenile for people who are supposedly adults in a college level science course.

This is so stupid

This game is the worst game on the net I can’t bond the two stupid things and it doesn’t show you anything on tutorial and oh and I’m gonna delete it and play Duolingo and geometry dash

Builds an intuition for how electrons flow

This app is incredible.
Almost all of the students that I tutor have trouble understanding mechanisms and instead of trying to learn them, they try and rely on raw memorization. Although it’s technically “possible” to memorize every reaction in Ochem, it’ll be 10X the amount of work and be 10X less useful then just learning how electrons flow. And fortunately, this app teaches you just that.
Those who use this app will be able to see and more importantly “feel” how reactions work. The more puzzles in this app that you complete, the more intuitive organic chemistry starts to become. I would 100% recommend this app. It’ll cut hours out of your study sessions and you won’t have to second guess if the arrows you are drawing are correct. It has helped me and all of the students I’ve talked to who have it get through Ochem 1 and 2. Give it a shot!

An organic chemistry grade saviour

Such a insanely well done app, it helped me a lot with organic chemistry tests. It would be nice if it could quiz you as well or add some more problems with no hints.

NO ASSIGNMENT CATEGORY

I enrolled into my course, my app is up to date (1.14), and I STILL cannot see the assignment category for my course.
Dr. Hamilton at OBU is my professor.

Good but still needs work

Need more levels and at time instructions

Response from developer

Thanks for your feedback. We are working on both of these.

Great application

Very useful application, moving electrons by physically directing them via a game like this definitely reinforces the mechanisms into memory better than drawing.

I’m hoping this helps me with my exams. 🙂👍

The App for Learning (and Teaching) Organic Chemistry

This app has merged two all-to-often disparate attributes of educational tools: good science and good artistic / design. Although Alchemie is still in the process of refining their approaches to this design, this app synthesizes theory with an intuitive approach that makes chemical principles much more palatable for the student. Give the app a serious try; it is sure to become indispensable for first and second year chemistry students (and teachers too!).
