Leave a Review Warlock of Firetop Mountain
Great presentation, repetitive gameplay
Back in the day with so few choices for solo roleplay, adventure books seemed like a way to experience an RPG when there was no D&D game happening. Today there are so many better solo options to scratch the RPG itch, so why play a trial and error adventure game with somewhat random combat? Nostalgia perhaps, but replaying the same adventure over and over trying to remember the right moves is exactly the downside of those adventure books that modern tech should be used to overcome, not enshrine. Game books were tiresome then, and now it is no different, except for the fact that there are so many way better game choices out there. Cool graphics cannot hide very mediocre gameplay. Time better spent elsewhere.Show lessPretty enjoyable
I strongly recommend you watch YouTube videos to make sure this is the type of game you enjoy, but if you do, this is a great game.
I spent hours beating the game again and again with different heroes, and essentially, becoming better at the game and trying different solutions to the various puzzles.
Ps: I was going to make it a 4* until I saw ancient 1* reviews from over 2 years ago that crash... ::roll eyes:: devs have fixed it and it worked flawlessly on two separate iPads, iPad Air 2 (2014) and iPad Pro 10.5 (2017)Show lessAwesome game, but crashes on iPad OS 13
I would give this game 5 stars - but it crashes on load with iPad OS 13. Please update, or stop selling it!
