Returning player confusion

I really, really enjoyed playing this game during quarantine. It’s something I sank hours in to and beating all the original levels is a COVID highlight. I only checked the game back out again when the hardmode levels dropped but now I want to take them on and beat the whole thing once and for all. However, I find myself confused about a lot of the game. I remember seeing the hardmode levels months ago when they came out and trying a couple of them, but I can’t find them now. Also, arena and core catch don’t work. I really want to get back into this game so please let me know if I’m missing something or please fix it.

Fun and engaging

There’s a lot to the game so far, fairly straight forward with a lot of content. Love the strategy. As an adult this one keeps me interested and a fun break-time game

This issue has been fixed, I'm terribly sorry for the delay!

Potential

Like other reviews I can also not access arena mode with the game telling me to update to latest version which I already have. Also on the snow levels all weapons become frozen very quickly with no way to thaw that i can find and so cannot win these levels or the gauntlet levels for the same reason.
Has the makings of a great game but desperately needs an update.

No update

Half of the game is missing holding me at a dead end regarding ability to level up. There is an arena/challenge mode apparently but when i go to play it, it tells me to update to latest version but when i look there is no update. There are no more opportunities to level up my cards and as such i cannot progress. Avoid this game until they decide to update it!

Stingy and boring

Edit: updating review to respond. Game should generally go at twice the speed. More spells more frequently. Feeling of power rather than mostly waiting for spells to reload since they aren’t particularly spectacular. Level map isn’t clear on which levels you’re better off completing to progress. Upgrading cards is clearly a mechanic but should be introduced much earlier for players to know you’re not repeating the same level over and over otherwise. Good luck.

Like other reviewers have said the game feels like your weapons have no power it’s so slow and boring and every battle is the same.

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback. The battles ramp up to be quite different and intense, but perhaps I can speed the gnomes up a bit to make things feel more frantic in the beginning.

GOOD but…

Great concept and graphics but the overall speed of the game is too slow which makes the actual gameplay a smidge boring…Everything (reloading, speed of gnomes etc.) should be sped up just a bit.

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback, I've been hearing this by multiple people and may make adjustments in the future to address this.

Boring and poorly made.

The controls feel off. The weapons are weak and boring. Games are supposed to be fun, not just an excuse to shovel microtransactions.

Response from developer

I'm an indie developer working alone so I'm open to all feedback. The controls are just tap to aim, there are 40 highly unique weapons, and microtransactions are entirely optional. Is there something specific you would prefer? Like I said, I'm happy to listen and make any changes to improve the game. Thanks for the feedback.

Not the best

It’s fine cause it has no ads but not that good of a game

Response from developer

What do you think I should do to improve the game? I'm an indie developer working alone, I appreciate any feedback.

Great game

Gnome invaders is such a great game because it works on your skills and is different from all the other games. It is hard though so you got to be on your A game
