  • This App Is Worth The Premium Subscription

I’m not sure how my daughter and I found this in the App Store but I’m glad we did. I’ve been on a hunt, since January, to find an abundance of app’s for the support and growth in my child’s homeschooling curriculum. This fully packed education source is one of two app’s that we use everyday to build on her reading and learning. It has been, so far, gauging my daughters learning properly. While keeping her entertained and focused. Very interactive as well and I appreciate the emails that let me know where she may need some help.
Let’s not leave out he mission behind this company. Support it fully. For my kid and those around the world.

    Cheers.

  • Do not buy, they will stuff you with automatic renewal

For 100 usd/yr its a very expensive app which is OK. But they enforce automatic renewal and in a years time when you don't even use it anymore .... they will not warn you of renewal, just hit you again.... And if you try to cancel it will not allow you to recover your money until you speak with apple support etc etc.
Apple should not let expensive apps to automatic renew unless you chose to do so when you buy it.

Thanks so much for your feedback. Autorenewal policies are enforced by Apple and not by app developers like us. We unfortunately have no control over this and Apple won't allow us to stop the autorenewal from happening even if we wanted to :-( Because of this, we do display a popup before our customers upgrade informing them of the autorenewal so that all our customers are aware of this before they upgrade. • Inappropriate ads for kids at $99/year.

    Hi,

I write this to share with you my extreme disappointment in your app, Atlas Mission. It's educational and my six year old son likes playing it, even though it's too easy. The problem I have is in app advertising. I paid $99 for your app, for the year. For that kind of money there should be ZERO in app ads. Free apps are lousy with ads, so I buy apps to limit my son's exposure. Not to mention the inappropriateness of the ads! If this app is for children, why are there ads references people dating each other??? Who is your content manager? Shame on you and your company.

Not only will I not be renewing my annual subscription, I will be deleting your app and any related content from my devices. I will also be posting this to the review section to share with other discerning parents, so they may make an educated decision regarding your product.

Joshua - we had responded to the email that you had sent to our helpdesk within 2 hours of receiving it. I guess I am somewhat puzzled that you posted a review without providing us with the screenshots that we had asked for in our reply to you. Update: It's been 4 days since our reply to you and we still haven't received the screenshots. In any case, it's really not possible for your child to have seen any ads because of our app since the Atlas Mission doesn't have, and has never had, any code inside it for displaying in-app advertising. Perhaps the ad was shown by another app that your child was using, and you inadvertently mistook that app for the Atlas Mission? Hundreds of thousands of users have downloaded our app since it was launched a couple of years ago, and this is the first time we've heard of a user seeing an ad inside our app. We are a social impact startup that gives 2 free copies of our product to economically disadvantaged kids in developing countries for every paid upgrade to our premium version. Showing dating ads (or any ads) to young kids is simply not something that we would ever think of doing. This is the reply that we had sent to your email: Hi Joshua - thanks for getting in touch. I think there must be some confusion because the Atlas Mission doesn't have any in-app advertising at all. And that's true not just for the paid version, but also for the free trial version. Showing ads to young kids is not what we stand for as an organization. The only possibility I can think of is that the ad was shown by some other app that was running in the background on your device, or that there is some sort of malware on the device. Can you please send me screenshots of any ads that you saw inside our app so that I can figure out what might have gone wrong? Here's how to take a screenshot: https://www.imore.com/screenshot-ipad
  • Cannot get beyond a certain point

My kid has been playing this then we get to a point where we has to feed the super bunny but the bunny never appears. Very disappointing and a waste of money. He can’t play it anymore unless we create a new user and then he has to start all over.
  • Bad experience, where is the developer?

The software is always stuck there when my kid plays the game. The flag always mismatches the description, for example, the software shows underground with a flag of worm, when my kid touches the flag, it shows “Canada”. No where to upgrade the software and it keeps charging me!
  • Wow

My 5 year old really loved the app! I expected that there would be a cost for the full version. once she finished and I took the phone to get the upgrade, I was in complete shock at the price for the subscription! 99$!! I understand that it must cost a lot to create and keep the app running but my goodness. That isn’t a reasonable subscription price for me. It’s a shame because it really is wonderful.

  • Perfect for my 5 year olds needs!

My daughter is starting kindergarten this year and I wanted to find an app to help her start reading. After just a couple of days playing the fun and engaging games she is reading and is so proud of herself! She also loves learning facts about all the different countries. Great app!

Hi Amy - thanks so much for that lovely review! Glad to know that your daughter has started reading after playing with the Atlas Mission :-)
  • Bug in app, can’t progress, no answer from Atlas

We bought the premium app. We are progressing through it, very early on we have hit a brick wall. We are supposed to pick the bubble for the turtle that matches the picture, but there are no images in the bubbles or picture frame. No bubble works. We have submitted a help request BUT NO RESPONSE from ATLAS!!! The game is unusable.

  • Bait and switch

They get your kid playing a little then make you pay for the rest. This should be disclosed up front.
  • Awesome app - but way too expensive

My four year LOVES this app. He finished the free trial in a day! I just wish it wasn’t soooo expensive. 20/month is not feasible for me.
