I love the app but hate forced ads

I would give this a 5 star review if there wasn’t forced ads. There is no need for them on a income tracking app. I usually delete games that have forced ads as I’m not paying to remove them.

The app itself though is excellent and is a nice tracking option for tips and income. I love the charts too.

Don’t bother paying

Paid $12.99 so I have access to my account if I were to download the app on another device, I was assuming you’d get majority, if not all the perks but you don’t…. The fact that I paid $13 and I can’t add another job the my profile is a bit ridiculous…

The free version is great tho, just wouldn’t recommend purchasing any of the upgrades.

Separate fields for cash and credit tips?

I just swapped to this app from server life (had a monthly sub and just logged in to see they took away the features I was already paying for and added them to a new higher subscription tier so I said f that) but I found this app and I’ve used it for about 5 minutes and so far i can already tell I love the simplicity.

Haven’t given 5 stars yet though because I can’t seem to find an option that allows me to input my cash and credit tips separately so that I can keep up with both since where I work - our credit tips go on our checks every 2 weeks and our cash tips we keep at the end of every shift.

Was curious if this is an option that’s available with a subscription, but I couldn’t find any info in the app on what all is included with the paying subscription. Would happily update my review if I could get some info. Thanks!

Amazing developer response to issue!

Ive been using this app for about 2.5 years. Had no issues until one of the updates; the months that had ‘late-in-the-week starts’ and would have five lines for the weeks, the last week wasn’t visible and I couldn’t log my tips using my iPhone. I left a comment and within two hours I had an email! The issue was my iPhone; it’s a 2020 SE which is smaller in size and the formatting wasn’t set up for it. Less than 24 hours later there was an update to the app fixing the problem! BOOM! That’s how you take care of things!! So very appreciative!!! 10/10 would recommend! Thank you!

SO USEFUL!!

I used this app to keep track of my tips for 3 years and still do today! I wish there was a way to add another shift if I was working a double. I take breaks in between my shifts and cannot add the clock in time for my next shift. Other than that, very useful for keeping track of tips.

Pricey & Can’t Edit/Modify/Delete

I’m a little confused by the 5 star reviews. If you’re looking for a free & easy way to track tips, this is not it.

Firstly, I didn’t realize I’d paid $10 to download it (I was moving too fast to see it was charging me). Upon messing around with the app, I realized it was an absolute waste of $10. When putting in my job/s, I’d put in a trial one to see how it worked. It’s now unchangeable - I cannot edit the name or money entered or even delete it. Not only this, but you can only have 2 tipped jobs. I attempted to add a 3rd (because my 1st was a trial entry), and it costs $3.99 per job added.

To export the data is also $2.99 each time for each individual tipped job (it doesn’t even combine multiple jobs).

I do not recommend this app for any service industry folk with multiple jobs, and am bummed I can’t get my money back on it.

Hi Ashjen, Thanks for taking the time to review this app. You mention some valid points, however, there are also a few inaccuracies in your review. There is no $10 fee to download the app, it's actually free to track one job. The $10 fee is for an optional cloud-based account that backs up your data. This one-time fee is used to cover the server costs associated with the information you are backing up. You are able to edit/delete data that you have entered. You can do this from the "Detailed Summary" section by swiping left on an entry. Editing a job is now available in version 3.08. Combining all jobs in the export is a good idea and is something we will look into for our next update. If you have any other questions/concerns, feel free to email support@paceapps.ca. We are always looking at ways to improve the app and keep the user experience positive!

Great app

I’ve been using this app for 2 years. A couple of things… First, I do wish this app had the ability to print. That would greatly allay my fears of the app suddenly not existing and losing all of my income information. I paid for the cloud backup, but I’m not sure how much good that will do me if the app shuts down. Second, as a bartender, I wish there were a spot for tipshare. What I’ve been doing is not separating my cash and credit tips. They all go in the cash tips section. Then I use the credit tips section for tipshare. I can imagine a tip-out section could also be helpful for servers who are tipping out their co-workers. Everything else about this app is great though. I love having the weekly, monthly, and yearly views. It is very helpful to be able to look back and see what months/weeks were busy/slow or how busy it was on a particular holiday. Also, having an overview and an editable detailed section is really great. Overall, this is a wonderful tip tracking app!

Thank you for using the app and for your review! You are actually able to export your data from the app through the Settings menu. The app will generate a CSV file with all of your income data attached. The file can be opened and analyzed with any spreadsheet software (e.g. Excel). If you have a moment, can you email support@paceapps.ca with more information about what you would like to see with tipshare/tipout? Thank you again!

Help

Is there a way to delete a shift? I accidentally entered information on the wrong date and now there is no way to remove it. It appears on my graph as if I worked a shift but made $0 and I just want to delete it entirely.

Hi, you can go to View Income > Detailed Summary and then when you find the date you can swipe left on it to edit or delete. If you have any other questions, please email support@paceapps.ca

One Need

I love this app, its perfect except for one thing.. once you name a job you can not rename it. When i first started i only had one serving job so i just put waitressing and now that i have two i want to label by the name of the restaurant and i cant switch it. Not a big deal but its driving my OCD nutts. If you guys could change this my brain would thank you! Other than that it never really glitches and its very easy to navigate and understand. Great app overall.
