  • Works great.

Glad this is an option to hear news and stories.
  • Worst App on my phone

This app will not stream when connected to my home WiFi network. It works on other WiFi networks.
To limit Cellular Data usage people use WiFi especially when they’re at home, which in my case is the majority of the time.
Therefore the app is 99% useless !
I’ve notified KUNR multiple times over the years, I even spoken to multiple employees in person, begging them to get their tech support to correct the problem . .
    🙉🙈🤦🏽‍♂️

  • It Has All My Favorite NPR Shows At My Fingertips

This is a great app for NPR listeners. It has all the top shows, and it allows you to listen to previous broadcasts. Plus, it has the local news that you can use. I wish KNPR had an app like this.
  • Less is more..

I used the app mostly for live listening, it just worked. Now it’s got a cluttered screen and without my reading glasses I can’t find what’s on air now.
  • Freezes

    Freezes all the time
  • Easy to access KUNR

Absolutely love this app and wish I had accessed it much sooner. Now I don’t have to carry my physical radio around with me to hear live broadcasts, and I can listen to things when convenient for me.
  • Yay KUNR !

Easiest way to hear my favorite Reno broadcasters since I had to move away ! I’m an absolute NPR addict/devotee and have it on around the clock. For everyone who snobs about KPCC lol, yes they are great, but I’m always gonna love my KUNR for their mix of programming, local interviews, funky fresh musical breaks, and the strappy yet elegant, Clemens out West, “warm yourself by the fire” companionship of the local hosts and traffic. That’s what makes it for me. I’m home. The app itself is nicely streamlined and MUCH easier to navigate than the nationwide NPR app. Sure I sometimes feel like I’m cheating on my now local station, but I know Ira Glass would really understand 🥰

  • App fragile

App loses feed very often. I have to switch to kqed or sacto
  • No connection

For over a year, whether the app fails or if the broadcaster fails the app too often looses its feed. The website fails too. So I listen to KQED. It’s close enough and has better late night/weekend programming. But I’m sure we already knew that.
  • Buffering issues

It loses connection a lot. I guess because it had to constantly buffer, but it interrupts the programming and is super annoying. Of course, I realize it could just be my phone.
