Loadstone GPS

* Several visual problems, especially if running on an iPad, have been fixed. * Some crashes when running on an iPad have been fixed. * Support for GPX files has been added. It is now possible to save points from a GPX file as points or checkpoints. * The speech settings screen has been rewritten to allow for propper selection of all voices and make settings clearer.

* A bug that could cause Loadstone to crash when speaking announcements has been fixed. * A bug that could cause a crash when moving route points up or down has been fixed. * Problems with some buttons on the main navigation screen not being translated have been fixed. * Buttons on the navigation screen have been fixed to look consistent. * Problems with some options and titles not having the correct label have been fixed. * A clear text button has been added to some text fields where it was missing. * It is now possible to map the shake gesture to a function in external controls.

This is a maintanence release to address problems with iOS 13 and 13.1. * A bug that would cause no GPS signal to be received has been fixed. * A bug that would cause some buttons on the navigation screen to be labled as "button" has been fixed. * A bug that could cause databases not to import or other background downloads not to work has been fixed.

* Turn-by-turn navigation has been added. This allows you to get a route with step-by-step instructions between two points. This function requires an internet connection to opperate. * When saving a location it's now possible to mark the new point as a checkpoint or the locked point. * The results of the Where Am I function can now be used like any other point. * There's now a send mail action if a point has an email tag. * In the point details screen, if a tag's value is a url that url can be opened in Safari. * Some form fields have been cleaned up so the label and value are spoken as a single element. * Some bugs, especially having to do with routes, have been fixed.

* Route support has been added. Routes are like a list of checkpoints but have a defined order and direction. * An explore mode has been added. This is similar to the exploration mode in the old Symbian version. This mode lets you explore points around your current location or a specific point by compass direction. * The find point function has been improved to add support for online searching. * A point's grid square has been added to the point details display. * It's now possible to filter the results of show neighbourhood by category. * More functions can be controlled with multi media controls. * A refresh button has been added to the astronomic information screen. * The find point function is now faster. * The screen will stay awake while importing points. * The speed of importing points has been doubled. * There is now a copy option for files and databases. * Point list displays now include point comments. * The send via email option has been changed to share to allow more options to be included such as AirDrop, iCloud, Dropbox, etc. * A share option has been added to point actions to allow a single point to be shared. * A single point can now be shared with Pointshare. * The where am I function will now do an online check first and if this failes will check local databases. * All language translations have been updated. * fixed various visual display glitches. * Various bug fixes and performence enhancements. * The Pointshare server has been upgraded and all data reloaded. This will provide more accurate point data as well as much faster downloads.

* The process of downloading points has been completely rewritten to be simpler and easier to use. * The find point function has been redesigned so it's possible to select which point categories to search as well as allowing a running search to be canceled. * The databases tab has been rearranged to make the options clearer. * It is now possible to control some functions of Loadstone using multi media controls or the magic tap gesture. * A trip meter has been added so you can keep track of the distance traveled. * Complete documentation is now included in the help section as well as links to the Loadstone website. The documentation is in English but we hope to have it in other languages in the future. * All language translations have been updated. * A Portuguese translation has been added. (not yet complete) * Various bug fixes and performance tweaks. * Pointshare now includes points from UMP. This will only effect people in Poland and parts of Europe. * Pointshare is starting to integrate data from various transit systems.

What's new in this version: * Simplified the initial setup screen so the Pointshare registration process and getting initial data can all be done with a minimum number of steps. * Fixed a bug that prevented sql databases received via email from working. * Updates to various language translations. * Added an Arabic language translation (not yet complete). * Added an Italian language translation (not yet complete). * Other minor bug fixes.
