I completed the German Duolingo course a few months ago, and it really helped me to understand German but my understanding of German grammar is truly abysmal. I hardly know the gender of any nouns or how to use the different cases. Thus I’m not comfortable speaking German at all. I think this app (plus an italki tutor for conversational practice) will be a good next step for me! However, I do wish the app had better functionality around continuing to drill you on the specific questions you miss. It’s a time-waster to have to keep repeating the gender of nouns you definitely know in order to review the ones you don’t. To me it seems like it would be easy to make it more efficient and mastery-based.
