Beautiful app!
FreeSong2 is visually beautiful, and each set of tones (there are three) are pleasing to the ear. It is simple to create beautiful layered music regardless of your musical ability- With the tones available, you literally cannot play a wrong note! There are two keys to play in: C and D, so it is easily possible to set the app to play by itself while you improvise within the app or on another instrument. I love how the tones can be stacked to make chords, and adding ambient sounds adds to the layering. I use it on both an iPad and an iPhone with great sound.
I have used it with music therapy clients by itself, and along with a guitar, rainstick and winds chimes to create a very peaceful setting. I can easily see it being used in a classroom/music room to provide background sounds for books or story telling. I would highly recommend FreeSong2 to use for yourself when you need a calming moment, for your young kids to give them a successful tool to channel their musical creativity, and for use with special needs populations to promote a successful and beautiful experience. I cannot say enough good things about FreeSong2!
