  • Excellent app to aid with language learning for proper students or casual learners

As a language teacher and language learner I found this app to be helpful for formal classroom vocabulary tasks as well as my own personal word lists. I love the way that I can personalize it to the current words that myself or my students are working with at this moment instead of being restricted to what the app chooses for me. It will generate pics and sentences for any word that you enter!

  • Great app

Esta aplicación es muy útil para aprender un nuevo lenguaje y una herramienta muy versátil para profesores. Lleva un poco de tiempo crear las listas pero es muy provechoso a la larga porque hay un montón de ejercicios y juego para practicar pronunciación, ortografía...
Una cosa bastante especial es que puedes cambiar el acento de la voz, por ejemplo de español de España a español de México o de portugués europeo a portugués de Brasil.

  • Great for both teachers and students

This app is an extremely useful tool for language teachers. User friendly and easily navigable, it allows teachers to save a ton of time on lesson planning in a condensed and eco-friendly way. Teachers can add and share their own word lists and notes or choose from the pre-made lists available. The lists can then be shared with students quickly and easily, allowing them to complete their work from anywhere by using their phones. The platform has a variety of tasks and games to keep the student engaged, and the results can be tracked and sent to the teacher very easily. I highly recommend this app for both teachers and students who want to learn and practice a language in a convenient manner.

  • Excellent learning tool

Excellent App, very nice and fun design, I would recommend it as a language teaching tool. Clean, simple, attractive pages, very interesting content. Once you started using the App, a very dynamic and informative Video Instruction appears on the home screen to get a general idea about how to do the lists and use them to learn your goal language. The list creation process is very easy and gives you the option to add lots of information including images, translations and examples. I like how the App itself brings the resources to your list, which greatly facilitates the user's life, the final result is great! The lists of words can be a valuable resource for both idiom teachers and students. I use lists as an English teacher and I have been delivering them printed to my students. With Learn Words, you can use a lot more features like audio and pictures and this greatly encourages learning. In addition, the list saved in the App allows the student to consult it later anytime, as the printed papers can be damaged or lost. It’s possible to create a list in pdf, which facilitates sharing your list, besides a better organization if the student wants to print, very good! The exercises and games parts are excellent, covering the needs of oral and written learning, very well organized and easy to manipulate. I really liked how the application shows the answers to each exercise immediately. Also, you can create reports, which allows you to keep track of studies and performance. The statistics help you to quantify your performance, in order to measure your learning progress and keep yourself motivated.

  • Useful and easy to use

As someone who loves learning new languages I'm used to trying different apps. One of the main advantages of Learn Words is the possibility to choose between different accents, for instance when you learn Spanish you can choose between Mexican Spanish and Spanish Spanish.
Another very interesting tool of the app is the possibility of finding words just by saying them which is really helpful when you know how to pronounce a word but you're not sure how to spell it.
In general I'm really happy with the app and I am currently using it two learn two languages at the same time!

  • Language made easy

An app with a great selection of languages and lots of very useful tools. Among some of the best is the wide range of options with which you can import words. For example, it allows you to take a photo of some old text, exercise book, photocopy and so on and import a whole set of words that can be, should you need it, amended.
Pictures can be added to the words making this app very user-friendly as well as a very valid tool for teachers. The app allows you to listen to the word so that the correct pronunciation can be exercised. A set of filters and other easy-to-use tools makes labelling and retrieving a specific set of words (or sentences) fast and efficient. The learning is further facilitated by the ability of the app to stimulate both your short as well as long-term memory with exercises that involve the use of pretty much all the four major language skills. Both input and output, as well as micro and macro skills, are stimulated in fun and comprehensive way.
This app could easily enter any classroom as an aid to language learning and teaching.

  • Superb app to learn words!

As a multiple language-learner currently learning German, I have been looking for a good app to help me build some more advanced vocabulary. So far the app has been doing exactly what its name implies: it is helping me learn new words, and it helps me doing so in a smart and flexible way: there's no limit to what words this app can cover. It's indeed not limited to pre-determined vocabulary lists or chapters like so many other app. On the contrary, it enables me to easily collect the relevant words I encounter in my various travels and travails in life (I took and used a photograph of that newspaper article I read, I added a few words by speech from the radio, I added a few words manually, and I took a few from one of the premade lists, etc.). Once brought together, it then lists and translates these words, and adds pictures and example phrases so I can revisit and learn them with context afterwards. I can then practise these words in a variety of exercise types, ranging from typical rehearsal to e.g., crosswords. Because I chose which words to learn, I chose the topics, pace and difficulty level. This makes it one of the better (or even best) word-learning app out there, especially for once you past the first few hundred words in a language. It's been a great help/support so far and would highly recommend.
