If you are not from Finland don't go with Telia
The process of getting a sim card was easy. Then came the trouble.
I was told I could add credit to the sim using a app. There are several Telia apps in the app store.
Guess what, the app did not allow me to add credit. Well, maybe I picked the wrong app. HOWEVER, when I went back to the store the Telia guy couldn't find the right either. Even after he changed my phone settings, still no app
Before going to the store I had gone online to try and add credit. In fact I paid €9.90 and received a sms to say the credit would appear on my account tomorrow.
Guess what, it didn't. After seeking assistance via online chat, I was told I had to go back to the store.
In the store they said I they couldn't do anything about the online purchases! All they could do was add credit by me making another in shop purchase.
I did this and then set about trying to find where my original €9.90 went. After a lengthy call they claim I had had the credit and denied that I my phone had not been serviceable (so, why did I have to make the 2nd in store purchase?)
My final point, their website has a EN VERSION option. When you click this on any page it immediately takes you back to the English version of the homepage. This, it is impossible to access the website in English. The only option is to use google translate on the Finnish version.
Definitely unhappy. I've already download the DMA app for when my credit is spent. Meanwhile, I'll just have to accept that calls from Migri, Kela, work, may go missing!!
