Reviews of Firestorm for LIFX

  • Doesn’t work

Doesn’t work with light strip, don’t waste your money, what a joke.

    Developer Response

Hi Martin, the app does work with the LIFX Lightstrip. Please make sure the lightstrip is connected to the LIFX Cloud in the LIFX app. Contact support@firestorm.scottdodson.dev for more help.
  • Not worth your money

Absolutely horrible. If you want to change the brightness on the light you can go ahead and cook dinner because it won’t change for a hot minute as like anything else you change in the settings. And all the light does in any of the modes is just brighten and dim while change colors on solid red yellow and orange. If you’re looking for it to look like actual campfire lights behind your tv like me, this ain’t it.

    Developer Response

Sorry to hear you don't like the app. There may have been an issue with the LIFX network at the time you tried the app. You can check the status at https://status.lifx.com/. As for the fire effects, please try adjusting the Flicker Rate under Settings. This will override the default flicker rate for all modes. You may prefer a slower flicker rate for the Campfire mode. Please contact support@firestorm.scottdodson.dev if you have any questions.
  • Pretty Cool

Works exactly as advertised with the LIFX bulbs; I love how it’s more customizable than LIFX’s own effects. I can’t wait to see more effects come from this developer, and I’ll be using new ones if they come in the future. It be cool if you made a whole app dedicated to customizing effects for these bulbs. Pretty cool app.
