1.0.3 ------ Turns out some of you wanted to be able to do more than 6 strokes on the Watch App, too. Perfectly reasonable request, so here it is! 1.0.2 ------ You can now add more strokes than 6. The new limit is 100. Why 100? Well, we got feedback that 'people wanted to be able to play their own way.' OK. We have to choose a number and the business manager chose 100. So there it is. Enjoy! :D

Sometimes you have to just ship 1.0. And then you find a couple of little niggles in the app that can wait for 1.0.1. So here they are: - UI tweaks to Watch App: The main app is green, so why isn't there more green here? - Faster Watch App when adding players. - Fixed a rare crash when sharing your scorecard.

Reviews of Scorecards for Mini Golf

  • Limits you to 2 players unless you pay $1

Crappy UI, can’t enter a score using a number pad, you need to use + and - buttons to increment or decrement score, can’t view all players score on screen at once. Most of all, it should be paid from the start with all features implemented.
  • How hard could it be?

This app is terrible and very glitchy.

First major issue: When you go to add a score a little plus / minus icons show up. After clicking on a plus or minus the input field then jumps to another number hole. And you end up clicking back and forth. Takes longer to do this on the phone then fumble around with a paper and pencil one.

Second issue: the layout does not utilize the entire screen if it’s just two players so you can’t even see both player names. It should be responsive to any size screen.

Third issue: what’s the point of me imputing it digitally if I still have to add all the points in my head. Why not give you a subtotal if you’re points the whole time?

This is such a basic functionality app and yet it’s got so many issues.
  • Decent app

The app is decent. It works in a pinch. But the Apple Watch app crashes constantly. When you go into an in-progress game, you have to swipe over to the hole you’re scoring; so 15 swipes to get to hold 15. It’s also not very clear how to dismiss the many modal UIs the app uses. And, when you’re scoring a game, you can’t see what time it is, because the app uses a modal UI instead of an actual page. And a game started and scored on the Watch doesn’t transfer to the phone; so no sharing it. :-(
If you need to score for two people, works great in a pinch. But the app really needs some polish.
