User Reviews: The Christmas Card List

  • What a great program

I had been maintaining addresses in Contacts and an Access database for Christmas cards, which requires adding/updating two lists. With this program I can add/update Contact list then easily link new contacts or update link for changed addresses in Christmas Card List. Tracking who I received cards from is a great feature. Creating various types allows me to print labels in groups for easy distribution. Can’t praise this program enough!
  • Works Beautifully

Very convenient and works great. I have recommended this to several friends and family and they Love it! Works great on all platforms even IPads!
  • Too much effort

Way too much effort to manage an active list.

For each address that you want to use in this app you have to either enter the data in to this app or import it manually one at a time from your contacts list.

If my iOS contacts is my source of truth, then that should be the only place that I add the data.
  • My favorite app of all time!

This is going to be a real timesaver during Christmas from now on… It keeps track of cards you sent out and cards received by year. it lets you sort according to any category such as family ,work, church, friends etc. when I went to print, I thought wouldn’t it be neat to have an icon next to the address- sure enough they have really cute Christmas icons to put next on the label. It was so easy to use and on top of it all the snowflakes in the background made it fun to return to. Well thought out!
  • BEST APP!!!

This makes sending cards soooo easy! I couldn’t love it more! You can link addresses directly from your contacts. I love that you can print labels and can even select which row and column to start printing in so you don’t have to waste labels. It couldn’t be any easier. Don’t hesitate, just download it!
  • This app is a holiday game-changer

What an amazing app!! This saves so much time and hassle with the Christmas card process. It’s easy to add addresses from Contacts, and you can add via spreadsheet import as well… you can export to a spreadsheet… In just a few taps you can print out all your card labels, as well as return address labels, and even customize the fonts / colors / clip art. It appears that templates for all major label manufacturers are built in, so it is really almost effortless.
I VERY rarely take the time to rate and review apps, but this one in particular is so much more useful and efficiency-enhancing than most of the paid apps I’ve used for anything. THANK YOU!!
  • Everything disappears

Seems like a great app but then nothing works right. I loaded all of my addresses in and after I closed out the app and went back in they were gone. It was also glitching on who sent cards and who I sent cards too. Seemed like a great app that I was excited about but I guess not.
  • Didn’t work on iPad or iPhone

I tried to use this several times, with no luck. It did import correctly from my contact list. I made some changes to include spouse names or children’s names, and saved the changes. None of the saved changes persisted. On the iPad, the list appears in the Overview mode, but no entries appear at all in the address mode. On the iPhone, both views are populated, but the changes I made disappeared overnight. Also, when working with it to enter data, it bogged down to the point that it was typing one letter per about 5 seconds. I tried making changes in my contact list and then updating from the contact list in the app, but that didn’t work for the name field, only for the address fields. Oddly, out of about 20 or 30 name field changes, one persisted. Since I was signed into the same account on the iPhone and the iPad, all the views should have matched, but they didn’t. I tried quitting the app, signing out and signing back in on both devices, but no luck getting both devices to sync up. Also, when I did save changes in the address view, about 5 Save screens would pop up one after the other and I would have to click save on all of them in turn. (At a rate of about 3 seconds per click) I gave up today after seeing all the changes I made yesterday on the iPhone were gone (except that one) and the addresses view was still blank and no changes saved on the iPad. Pretty design, though. That’s your one star.
  • Awesome App!

This app is amazing! So easy to use with great results. I imported all the addresses from my Christmas Card Group in my iPhone contacts. Then I added a candy cane, made the font cursive and colored green. Next I printed over 100 address labels on Avery labels. All from my phone!
  • Great app for keeping track of Christmas cards

I used to keep track of Christmas cards sent and received in a spreadsheet but no more. This app is terrific, especially to print labels. So easy! The only “issue” I had was user error (hiding recipients when printing, and forgetting to SAVE after each entry.) Thank you for creating this app!
