I can’t believe it. I just can’t.

So… if you’re considering getting this game, I want to draw your attention to something. Just this morning, when this review is being written, I received a notice from the Pocket Camp team. Nintendo is taking Pocket Camp off the internet. The game will no longer have any in game purchases, events, or subscriptions. The full details have not been published yet, so I will edit this review once they do. The game will be a one-time purchase for the download. I would suggest that if you are considering it, go ahead and download now, and get it free, and get some extra event items, or forever hold your peace, because after November 28th the game will no longer be worth it because if it’s a one time purchase (which means Nintendo clearly doesn’t care about it anymore) it will simply not be worth it, which just a shame because this was such a fun and relaxing game. I might keep the game a little longer, but probably not. It just will never be the same. Sorry for the long review, but I thought you should know everything. Also: technically the og game will be deleted, but if you have a Nintendo account you can save your data to the flat-purchase app. I personally don’t think it’s worth it. It’s just really disheartening to have ANOTHER game get taken down on me. If anyone out there ever played and used Moriah’s Spark, you know what I mean.

Actual game is fun, Widget needs work

Widget is a great feature that you guys should be taking advantage of! I really dislike that the widget for AC:Pocket Camp is not full screen. It looks awkward and ruins the aesthetic of a home page. If the widget didn’t have the weird white/black outer edges this would be a 5/5 review overall. There’s a lot more you could do too. You guys aren’t taking full advantage of these things. During events, for example, the garden ones - you could have a square widget that shows the timer of when your plants have rare creatures/can be harvested, can be watered, or when a friend shares some for you. Another widget could be like the current animals visiting on the islands right now and countdown till the next bunch come. You get the gist. It wouldn’t be hard to come up with similar ones for fishing tourneys and scavenger hunts. These suggestions would be so helpful especially for the forgetful people - doesn’t matter young or older. Everyone gets distracted in their everyday lives so this would be a great reminder. Not a lot of people check their notifications bar for apps that aren’t social media and even if they do look at all their notifications - the notifications we have already don’t give you some of these suggestions that I really do think would be great ideas to take advantage of. Anyways, great game but lots of ideas still out there for improvement as I see this game is still getting frequent updates and new things.

The perfect mobile game

I’ve been an Animal Crossing veteran and I honestly think that this is one of the best mobile games. First off, you can make your campsite an actual theme of your choice or mix it up. Plus, the villagers have a preference toward a certain theme. Also, I’ve heard people say that the guests at your campsite keep on pestering them with quests, but I honestly don’t mind them at all. Plus, you can get more furniture for your campsite or your camper and a couple of resources like the essence of that villager’s preferred theme. Like for example Bam told me to make a Skateboard rack while I have a skateboarding rink and it made it look more lively once I placed it right next to it. Even though leaf tickets are hard to find and they can save you from waiting around 12 hours for a new amenity, you can still get them by doing quests and increasing your level. Plus crafting a new amenity doesn’t get rid of your crafting space(s) so you can still craft furniture in the process and will allow you to chat and do quests for your guest and visitors so that you can increase your level, which gives you 10 leaf tickets, 1,000 bells, new furniture, and new villagers. And finally, the personality traits that they were given in the mainline games are still there. I love how charming they are when they tell you random things and honestly some can be quite humorous. So yeah, this is by far one of the best mobile games of all.

A great game but…

I’ve been playing since around the time the game released, I’m around level 150 at the time of posting this review and I’ve gotta say, this game is really fun, a good way to spend some time! This is one of my favourite mobile games! One of my only problems is that the game is becoming more centered around Pocket Camp Club (the paid subscription service) I feel kinda annoyed about this, as a F2P person, things are becoming more locked behind PCC, such as the special Kudos you give out to other players pictures and step count stickers. I know that some months ago, the storage has become free for all and I’m pretty thankful for that. Another thing I find annoying is that quite a lot of things can only be bought/crafted via Leaf Tickets and LT are quite hard to obtain if you’re a F2P person. The social section is pretty good, but I find constantly getting friend requests from people I’ve never met quite annoying. After a while, events are quite repetitive and yet again, stuff is locked behind PCC. This game is pretty casual though! I like decorating my camp every season to match the vibe of the said season. And also, BRING BACK THE EEVEE EVENT! I took a break around the time the event started and when I came back, I found out that I had missed out on it. Ever since, I’ve been saving up Leaf Tickets and Reissue Materials in case the event comes back. I recommend this game to all ages and animal lovers!

Love it, but my devices aren’t compatible :(

Absolutely adore this game, I even made a Nintendo account to save my data! Only problem is that while I have iOS 12.6.3 (or something like that, definitely not 13 because I have an iPhone 6) I can’t play the game past the tutorial. The app crashes constantly. So I tried doing it on my chrome book and it worked! Then it stopped and I haven’t been able to play since. I don’t know what changed for my laptop :/ I have enough storage space and I’ve tried everything. Otherwise, I have only good things to say. :)

Love this game, just these things…

I love Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, but these things just do my head in…
#1. Pocket Club Members
To unlock basically the whole game, you can join the “pocket camp club” but it costs money! It’s not fair for those who can’t join, the members get to do EVERYTHING like using special stickers when reacting to their friends’ photos, they get to buy fortune cookies that have gone out of stock, they get the craft time shortened, ect. I reckon everyone should have the whole game, without having to pay real money just for the whole game. To me, it’s a stupid idea.
#2. Crafting time
Wen you want to craft something, it sometimes takes SO LONG! If you’re lucky, you only have to wait a bit, like one minute. It especially takes long with the amenities, taking a whole day or so! The pocket club members get their time shortened! It should be done INSTANTLY. When you get requests from an animal, they want specific items that can only be unlocked by crafting them. It takes TEN YEARS! So, like I said, items shouldn’t take so long to craft. Done in an instant.
#3. Leaf tickets
They can be used to buy special things, like fortune cookies, and more! But they are so hard to get. Maybe make them easier to get please?

If all these things were fixed, I would love the game EVEN MORE!
If these were all fixed, everyone would be happy!
Thank you 😊

Redownloading this game!

So I decided to redownload the game, and I still love it, truly! Although, there are things I’d like to talk about. For leaf tickets, I find it absurd that fortune cookies cost 50 when if you get a bit of luck they’ll appear in the super market for 5000 bells. I’d recommend lowering the cost to at least 20 or 15 leaf tickets. Another thing is, it gets awfully boring after you complete everyone’s tasks and there’s not much to really do except explore areas and make imaginary scenarios in your head seeing as theres really nothing else to do - I’d like for you to fix that as well because then more people will stop playing this game due to lack of activities after completing everyone’s tasks and talking to them. I also wish when you download it again it’d say if you’re a new user or not cause if you’re not this game should allow you to create yur own account and not just a nintendo one or smth so yu can log in faster. I also wish for you to add minigames/activities you can do with people at your camp and theres times you could have a special guest and if you play well (example: hide and seek) as they’re watching, they’ll consider wanting to be your friend and you won’t need to talk to them for the first time to level up your friendship with that animal. This way, people will have things to do when they’re bored and have no more tasks to fulfil. I really hope you read this <3
