Version History of GlucoFish

1.2.2

August 3, 2019

I've not completely forgotten about this program! • Compiled using up to date Xcode to support iPhone X/XS/XR series screens • Upped iOS requirement to the latest release (was iOS 10.0/watchOS 3.0 now iOS 10.3 and watchOS 3.2) • Fixed some theoretical bugs (basically made the code more resilient) The next version of this will be a separate app, re-implemented from scratch and will require iOS 13. I intend it to be more configurable and allow meal based readings and the recording of HbA1c results too. To set expectations, it'll probably be at least 6 months away.

v1.2.1: No core functionality changes in this release. Fixed some major layout issues in the Add Reading and Settings Screens. Landscape mode should be useable on smaller than 'plus' devices now. Apologies for that. Watch App no longer spells out its a WatchKit app in the Watch app on iOS

Redesigned reading entry screen (read prettier) for the iOS app. Fixed the x-axis labels on the graph. This still needs some tweaking when there are too few data points. The behaviour of the graph changes slightly in this version. In previous versions the data points were equally spread. In this version they are spaced according to their actual timestamp. i.e, the closer together the readings were taken, the closer they are on the graph. Added an About screen accessible from the settings page to show the current app version number and acknowledgements for 3rd party libraries and resources. Fiddled with a few colours here and there This version feels more or less like the program I set out to create. Feel free to make suggestions or report bugs to glucofish@wovenfish.com

v1.1 adds support for adding entries in the mg/dL scale. This now means the program is usable no matter which scale your meter uses. You can choose which scale to display, and which scale to enter readings in, independently. You can switch between them at any time. The entry scale of the Apple watch app follows that set in the iOS app

Description of GlucoFish

GlucoFish is a simple app for keeping track of your daily blood glucose readings. It is designed for those making one recording a day who wish to have a record of the readings and graph any changes. It is NOT designed for those monitoring their blood glucose with every meal. The app does not preclude multiple entries per day however. Entries are made or displayed using either the mmol scale or mg/dL scale. The entry scale and display scale can be different if desired. PRIVACY: Your data is your own. It is stored on your device and we have no access to it in any way. You can export your data via iTunes as a CSV file, or via email, again as a CSV file. You will need to make your own assessment of your privacy concerns with your data travelling the email infrastructure unencrypted. If a previously saved CSV file is renamed as 'restore.data' and copied back to your phone via iTunes sharing, on next startup, the contents of the file will be used to REPLACE the data in the app with that from the file. The companion Apple Watch app is a simple interface that allows you to add an entry timestamped with the current time. It will make entries in the currently selected scale in the iOS app (as long as the apps have been in contact since the last change). If your phone is not to hand, entries will sync back to the phone when it becomes available. Entries made in the iOS app can either be timestamped with the current time, or a specific date/time can be chosen for entering historic values. The graph will show all entries and can be pinch zoomed and panned in either, or both of the vertical and horizontal axes. The initial display will zoom/scale to show the last 10 readings. Selecting an entry in the list will enable the remove button to allow individual readings to be removed. There is currently no editing facility, so altering an item will require it to be removed, and re-added using a specific timestamp. I will fix this in a future revision. A daily reminder can be set for a specific time which will send you a reminder notification. Please feel free to send any suggestions or report any bugs to glucofish@wovenfish.com.
