This app needs to be updated
The D6PRO unit does not connect to iphone 8plus anymore, it speaks in a foreign language on its own, the company offered me a “reverse cam “as a resolution and not a dash cam of comparable value. I cannot recommend autovox.Goodbye Skype

Wouldn’t have bought the cam if I saw the app.
App is really dated and clunky. Had all the connection issues that people described. Two things you have to do is first turn off cellular data in the settings for the app. Second the app doesn’t see the SSID from the camera because it isn’t connected so when the screen in the app pops up to connect rename the SSID to the same as the one the camera is transmitting. You can see that in the networks under Wi-Fi in settings. Then after that connect when they app tells you to and it should connect. Good luck! Another note is I can not seem to get parking mode to work. I had the camera wired to continuously have power and it never entered parking mode. So I changed to a switched power source that turns off with the car so I don’t drain the battery. Also the video image is flipped like this was intended for a backup camera. I can not find any setting to fix that in the app. Like I said the app so clunky, missing features and dated.
So if you have just bought this camera return it and buy one with actual app updates and support. I didn’t get around to installing the camera until after the return window and I did no do enough research to see this app in advance. Just avoid it if you can. If you can’t like me it works but it isn’t pretty.117AJ
Can’t get it to work
I have an IPhone with IOS 13.3.1. I cannot get the app to connect to the phone. I reset the network connection twice but still does not work. I keep getting an error message saying “unable to join the network AUTO-VOX D6PRO”.Ljcarchit

FOUND A WAY TO CONNECT AGAIN D7PRO
Was so upset that I couldn’t connect to the camera through the app anymore (iOS 13) but I found a way to make it work:
On this version of the app it tells you to connect to the D6 Pro network once you click connect, pretty much creating the hotspot. In order to connect to your D7 Pro, RENAME the network to the exact SSID(network name)that your camera is showing when you look for the WiFi through settings(mine was D7PRO b73 or something like that)Don’t change the password if your password is 12345678 to not make the process more complicated. You may have to give it a few tries in order to connect but it will definitely work once you get the exact camera name when it prompts you. Also tested it with mobile data ON and I was still able to connect to it.
This info may work for other camera models that stopped working after the update, feel free to test it out. Cheers.SiroHunter

Terrible software
I have googled, contacted support, and changed a multitude of settings to get this app to connect with the device. None of which provided a solution. My phone will connect to the Wifi of the device just fine but the app thinks it’s not connected and therefore I cannot retrieve pictures nor video. Avoid any device that uses this app.BassX97
Rendered Useless
The app no longer syncs to my new iphone 11.... so... it’s useless to save clips now... which was the feature I used. Sigh... will they update?! Hello?!Harrison.H
