3 NEW Films - Colour comes to Kontakt! We've added three new colour films, modelled on Kodak Portra, Fuji Velvia, and Fuji Provia. Those of you who know these films will know what you like to use them for, but here is a quick description of the new films and tips for usage. Helio (modelled on Portra160) Great for warm skin tones and portrait photography Velve (modelled on Velvia) Has pronounced blues and a cold feel. Brings atmosphere to overcast days, and 'cold' scenes. Ismus (modelled on Provia) Has a slight green tinge to it, and renders landscapes nicely Darkroom improvements Adding frames to your prints is now easier and more customizable. Sample Image When selecting films, you can now change the sample image to test out the effects on your camera roll photos.

NEW Enlarger We've just installed a brand new enlarger into your darkroom! The Kontakt MultiTrast 200 allows you much greater print control, with finer exposure and paper grade options. Exposure time is now calculated in seconds, from 0s to 999s, allowing you a precise control of print density, in both the shadows and highlights. NEW Chemicals We've been in the lab mixing up some new paper development chemicals, to give a more accurate analog response, and improve tone control. Use the exposure time to set the white point of your prints, and the contrast grade of paper to increase or decrease shadow density. Your Kontakt prints will now look even more like real darkroom prints! NEW Layout We have changed up the UI, into one horizontal paged application - allowing you to flick between the camera, darkroom, and your prints much more easily. Fine tuned films We've undertaken some fine tuning on the tone curve response of your Kontakt films. Increasing dynamic range, and allowing more options for printing in the darkroom. Print sharing You can now easily share your prints to Instagram, Whatsapp, Facebook, Twitter, and more. Just tap on a print to bring up sharing options. Improved image inspection You can now zoom in on both your raw frames, and prints. Tap on a print or frame you want to inspect, and pinch with two fingers to zoom in and out. Bug fixes There was a bug where the app would crash if you had a large number of prints, this has been fixed ... so keep on printing!

Description of Kontakt P1 35mm Film Camera

Kontakt Film Camera combines the process of analogue photography with the power of your iPhone, to allow you to take better and more considered photographs. Print your photographs in the darkroom to save to your gallery, share on social media, or order physical copies. CHOOSE FILM - Choose which of our six in built films to insert into the camera, depending on the tone curve characteristics you wish to use. Our Kontakt films are modelled on your favourite Ilford, Kodak, and Fuji films, and apply the correct colour and contrast corrections to the iPhone camera. SELECT LENS - There are three lenses built into Kontakt Film Camera, a 28mm wide angle lens, a 35mm lens, and a standard 50mm lens. Once these lenses are fitted the rangefinder frame lines will change accordingly. COMPOSE - Compose your photos on a traditional rangefinder, that allows you to compose images while seeing what's coming in and out of the frame (which can be especially useful for street photography). CONSIDER - You can browse all your photos in the darkroom. Your photos are stored in individual films which hang in your darkroom. Scroll up and down to go through different films, and zoom in and out to inspect frames. DARKROOM - Use genuine darkroom controls to get the most out of your photographs. You can fine tweak the paper grade, and exposure duration to get full contrast control over shadow and highlight details. PRINT - Once you have created a print in the darkroom, it will be saved to your 'Prints' gallery, where you can order physical copies of your prints as posters, framed prints, or non framed prints. SHARE - Share your prints to your social networks. Kontakt was inspired by the many great photographers who committed to the process of traditional analogue photography! “We must avoid however, snapping away, shooting quickly and without thought, overloading ourselves with unnecessary images that clutter our memory and diminish the clarity of the whole.” – Henri Cartier-Bresson
