  • Where’s the 4K?

This app has some great features especially the motion time lapse but it’s let down by it not having a 4K option when your phone has that ability. I end up using other photo apps instead which isn’t ideal.
Developers: please enable this ASAP that would make it a five star app.
  • Need 4K video support

Would be better if you could record in 4K. Otherwise I’m happy with the app!
  • Nice but need some tweaks

It would be great for all Atom users to have an option for selecting lock mode with a press of a button or cycle just like the M1 instead of press and holding it. When you put the Atom on a monopod and want to raise it up high, you lose the ability to do that since you can’t hold it anymore. It would slowly drift left or right either in follow mode or full follow mode.

  • Worthless

The absolutely most worthless app invented. Chose this gimbal because it would accommodate an external mic. Who knew the app would be garbage? Can’t get it to connect via Bluetooth. Gimbal randomly fails.
    Stay away!
  • Went downhill

The M1 gimbal is a nice solid piece of kit, in weight and looks, and it (mostly) does a good job of holding the phone up. For a while.

When I first got it, I shot using my 7 and 7 Plus. I haven’t used it for months, but went to prepare for a documentary trip. The app won’t connect over Bluetooth on the Plus on iOS 12.4.1, and the gimbal slowly drifts without an easy way to correct it. Looks like the app hasn’t been updated since 2016, so there may be some subtle framework compatibility issues that could be fixed if somebody spent a couple of hours on it.

And devs, the fake 5-star reviews certainly aren’t helping things.

  • Great App For A Great Gimbal

Very pleased with the Snoppa app. Very intuitive and user-friendly interface.

    However:
    - No ability to shoot native in 24FPS (only 30 or 60). This needs to be fixed!

    - Face tracking and object tracking could be better. It loses track of both if you move too quickly

    - Would be good if you could control some of the gimbal features from the app too (ie. orientation, POV mode)

  • Update with fixes already!

The device is very nice, however, they need to update this app for better functionality including connectivity. Also, the quality of the video is not very good at all. They may lose customers (or not get any news ones at all) to a better and similar device if they don’t do something soon.
  • Almost nothing works properly

All the shooting modes are crap. Time lapse mode has very weird movement even though set up correctly. Landscape mode stops in the midway randomly. Face tracking and object tracking are slow, barely work, and lost the reference image easily. Most importantly, the gimbal drifts even though it’s placed on a stable surface. And no matter how many time I do the level calibration, the gimbal’s always tilt. Where did you get your developer and UX designer? High school?

  • Great app but looking forward to a few features

The Atom gimbal is incredible but this review is for the app. The app is stable and works well, however, please consider the following:

    1) object tracking will work on a small object near to the lens but cannot track larger objects like people or cars. Please fix this as your face tracking is amazing.

    2) add motion filming mode (at real-time speed) with start/stop points and duration options. This would enable automated smooth pan/tilt on either tripod or while walking from one point to the other. (Rather than a time lapse which is with photos)

    3) add an option to reduce the sensitivity and speed of the joystick movement even more - it’s still very jumpy when moving the joystick

    4) add ability to zoom by pinching in and out on the screen (when focus control has been assigned to the slider on the gimbal)

    5) add a toggle switch within the app to turn on and off wireless charging. It’s a shame to lose a button option for this feature that is used only a couple of times in a day

    6) ability to set the white balance in kelvin within manual mode

    7) add an option to NOT save the video files to camera roll. I don’t want iCloud to upload all my videos, downsize and “offload” the originals. I’d much rather manage my videos manually please. Perhaps add a toggle switch for “photos” and “videos” separately as I’d be happy having photos in my iCloud (which have a much smaller file size)

Thank you for adding support for the iPhone X tele lens!!

  • Failed to save video

The app will error on end recording and completely lose video. Use it for configuring the gimbal, but don’t use it for recording.
