Broken!!!
This game is pretty good, but why can’t you taunt or use potions while using a bow? I’ve seen the enemy taunt while holding a bow, why can’t we? This just makes the bow more underpowered than it already is. I hope that this is just another bug and not a feature of the game. Also, when you try leaving the shops while using classic graphics mode, the screen becomes permanently black. Don’t treat your Ultratus players like this!!!Show lesspoopoohead1337
Black Screen Upon Leaving Shops?
I bought the Ultratus version of the game, and of course I’m using the classic graphics, and it seems that every time I exit the weapons shop, it hangs on an endless black screen. Other than that, the game is solid.LeonBelmont12

Wooooow. Updated for a 4th time and still haven’t added back in what you removed! This is pathetic now. Do you even test or read the reviews?

Full screen was working fine in the previous version on my iPad Pro 11inch but since this classic edition update it is in the old resolution with black bars at the sides.
Poor testing.

Love this game but it's full of bugs
Every now and then you'll win a fight but lose anyways. It shows your gladiator standing over a vanquished opponent and then the banner at the bottom says you died and it sends you to the graveyard. In addition to this, my character ignores all opponent's armor in both boss fights and ghost fights making it extremely easy. These two bugs pretty much ruin it for me and I paid money for the full version. Just play the free version, not worth the money.Show less99 Herblore
Nothing like what we remember.
It’s nothing like the good old Swords and sandals from the internet browser. Yes we understand changes to be made during swap to smart devices etc but Combat is changed. Equipping stuff is changed, even normal difficulty is made harder where the first arena boss can pretty much 1 hit you based off luck. Seems like the random fun of Swords and sandals 2 is lost to purely random encounters where it makes no sense or doesn’t seem intuitive to how they laid it all out on smart devices.Show lessKinkyLuvin
Possible glitch?
This game is my childhood and is very well done. Everything is great except that I reached the max level at tournament 12 because I died so many times before reaching the champion and leveled up quickly. I can’t gain any more experience and I’m not even half way through the tournaments, I wish this could be fixed so I can still gain points without the health and magic boost.Show lessNerdygamer.
Amazing, Just like I remember
Obviously it’s a little different but the changes just feel so natural for this platform. They’ve put a lot of work into making these games fit with iPhones an it shows. Great job 🙌🏻👌🏻Dannydoodler
Great game
I’ve been a fan of the series for a long time, but oddly enough Swords and Sandals 2 has always been my favorite. The game on the computer wasn’t perfect, but regardless the nostalgia of playing one of my favorite games back in the day prompted me to buy the Maximus upgrade. Wasn’t disappointed. There are a couple kinks that need fixing, but the redux was very well made and fixed a lot of problems that were in the original Swords and Sandals 2 game. The storytelling element was also a very nice touch as well. Kudos to you guys, thanks for the great game!!Show lessCyun726
Better than the original mobile game. Has it's quirks
This game is decent but it does not have the niche appeal of the original game. There are some changes that I don't agree with but overall I don't consider it to be a cash grab. If the developers read this then I would recommend adding certain content back. First add back the original enchanting with elements as it was a fun creative addition. Second the exp rates need to be lowered due to the fact that I unlock new weapons and armor before I can finish the previous set. This game could be great with some small changes. If you have nostalgia for the old game, I would not recommend the full version but if you like swords and sandals then I would buy it. (There are features from the old game that are not listed with the Maximus upgrade description)

My opponents have agility at level 2 yet they are still leaping towards me making it too difficult to keep my distance from them.
In the original you could level up your charisma to like 10 and just shout at your opponents until they lost. In this version charisma is almost useless. Even with charisma at 10 or more dealing damage is very rare.
