  • Can be a five star but....

I can't delete my last patch of cut samples so each time I go back in the app for other samples it adds my last cuts to the zip pack. Smh smh smh....
Every time I try to delete it, it closes the app completely irritating and unprofessional fix it please.
  • ReSlice recharged my love of sampling.

I'd become a little disenchanted with most sampling apps due to limited "playability" as an actual instrument to be played in real time - most samplers just don't lend themselves to imaginative uses.

But ReSlice, holy cow... suddenly the the samples take on new life, are fun to play, and with the arpeggiator whole new vistas of sound open up. Versatile for beats, pads, you name it. Love this app.

  • Works Great, creating sounds & loops!

I did a lot of research before this purchase. I didn't want to spend a fortune and I wanted something that worked. I also didn't want to have to be a genius to operate. I am so glad that I made this purchase! It's easy to operate and works as stated. Creating sounds, loops and so much more via IAA, ETC.

  • Great update

One of the best slicers on iOS. Love the arp too.

The updates on this app have been inspiring.

Next step, a solo option to select one slice and transpose it on keyboard without other slices being played? That would be super cool.

    Thanks!
  • Love it but needs one thing

Thanks for the choke groups!!! Only problem I'm getting still is that my c2 key I have to hold down to trigger. It is very laggy but just that one slice
  • Pretty basic sampler with arpeggiator

I read a few reviews that compared this to the app "Samplr". The two seem very different to me. This app is a pretty straightforward sample slicer with an arpeggiator. I guess it works as advertised. But when compared to a an app like Sampler, this is pretty straightforward. If you like Samplr or Borderlands Granular, this app may be too basic for you. If you find Samplr or Borderlands Granular confusing and unmusical, ReSlice may be the app for you.

  • Needs better zoom function

Fun slicer app with a lot of useful and powerful features. But it definitely needs a pinch zoom function or some some sort of magnification slider to get better control over the slices when importing larger sound files. It is nearly impossible and extremely frustrating to edit the cluster of slices that are automatically placed at the start of a fairly long sound file. Also check out the youtube video review of Doug from TheSoundTestroom to see what I mean. He is clearly struggling with the same issue. I noticed that it will zoom in a little bit when you press and hold the top arrows of the slices, but this amount of zoom is still not enough and it is useless when you can't even tell which slice you are selecting when they are all cluttered together. I think this is the main problem with this app that still needs some work and improvement.

Besides that this is definitely an app worth buying and i am enjoying it a lot. I hope Virsyn can iron out some of these issues though.

  • No manual, worthless video

This app looks like it could be quite useful, but without any useful guidance most of the developers work goes unutilized. The video is yet another of today's very amateur thrill shows. No narrative, fingers blocking whatever memu choice is being made. No information given on how to set up the goldilocks scenario depicted in the video.

For $10 I've only learned that I don't know how to use this app, and that the dev provides no meaningful avenue to learn the app.

The static little overlay 'help' screens merely point out the 'what' without providing any 'how'.

  • Finally!

This is an excellent, easy to use slicing app, WITH MIDI!! Thanks for putting this together! I would really like to see more control via MIDI (sustain of slice triggered by sustain of key press) and maybe mute group posibility? Thank you for this app!
  • Best slicer app

The most straightforward and user friendly audio slicer app. The sequencer is a delight.
