Description of paceUP!

paceUP! is a gamified training app that adds a fun twist to your workouts. Whether you're tracking your sessions with GPS on your phone or a Garmin device, you'll earn paceUP! points and compare your progress with friends. Here's how it works: Gamify Your Training:- Every training session, whether GPS-tracked or logged manually, earns you paceUP! points. You'll receive base points to encourage frequent training, and effort points based on the energy you put in. Base Points:- Sessions exceeding 30 minutes earn you 100 base points. This motivates regular training and aligns with health guidelines. Effort Points:- Points are calculated using MET tables, accounting for activity time and intensity, ensuring fairness across different exercises. Collect Points:- Accumulate points to level up and take on new challenges. Competing in races earns you extra points. Leaderboard:- Your points determine your rank on the paceUP! Leaderboard. Compare with all users, friends, or groups you create. Groups:- Form private leagues with up to 4 friends. Compete, follow each other's activities, and interact. Feed:- View recently logged activities, including friends' sessions. Race Calendar:- Find races, add them to your calendar, and even register through the app. Training Diary:- Track all sessions and points earned in 'My Profile.' Activity details include map, time, distance, and more. Premium Benefits:- Upgrade to access more features, including unlimited private groups and device connections. App Usage Info & Premium Membership:- The app is free with optional Premium features. Premium unlocks more benefits and ends active trials. Experience paceUP! – where training and racing become exciting! Stay active with paceUP!

Reviews of paceUP!

  • Garmin integration doesn’t work well enough

They only have one integration, so if you don’t have a Garmin device, all activities must be tracked manually.
I often ride indoors with zwift and upload my activities to Garmin, but these activities don’t sync with PaceUP. So to record any of my indoor cardio, I have to manually copy over the information. They track duration and distance, but distance is only in km so I have to convert from miles to km every time.
When I record an activity outside on my Garmin watch, the integration works well.
