  • Extremely disappointing.

This app is disappointing at best. I've been waiting since yesterday for the app to update the earning results and still hasn't, I had to resort to Google in order to know, unfortunately this defeats the purpose because I'm paying exactly to know these things on time.
  • No forgot password

There is no way out of login screen if you don’t remember password. I had to reinstall the app to see earnings screen again. It is not a good experience for paid app

I’ve already started working on removing accounts and passwords in general. With Biometrics available on all iOS devices, and things like Sign In with Apple now available, I’d rather do away with accounts and passwords all together. Hence, why I never added password reset. No sense adding that when the better approach is not having to deal with passwords. Especially when at most, I might get few emails throughout the year asking to reset a users password for them. With my limited time, I’d rather focus on something that benefits all users (supporting the latest and greatest OS and phone updates from Apple, adding new features, etc) than something that <0.5% of the user base would ever use. I would also recommend using a password manager like 1Password and generating unique and long, secure password strings. I’ve been using 1Password for almost a decade now. Apple also has a free and built in password manager right into iOS itself that will generate and maintain secure passwords for each individual website and service. This day and age, I’m still surprised by how many people are still manually creating and maintaining passwords (or worse, using the same password for every website over and over), instead of just using a good password manager and maintaining peace of mind.

I believe this individual had emailed me regarding this. For some reason it was sent to my personal email address instead of the app support email, which ended up in my junk mail inbox and thus I never saw it until much later. If this is the same individual, they had mentioned that they got signed out but never created an account. The app offers the ability for users to bypass account creation. My thinking here was if someone wants to try out the app quickly, or they don't want to provide an email address, then they can create an "anonymous" account in those circumstances. No user data would be captured or saved, and would be privacy focused. I believe that is what this individual did. They skipped the sign up process, never made an account, and somehow got signed out of their account. They were not able to login because they never had an account. And there's no way to reset a password in that case because the account is essentially anonymous and there is no way to identify it. If you download the app, by all means feel free to skip the account creation process and give the app a try. Should you decide you enjoy using the app and want to continue using it, then I would recommend you go to the "More" tab where you will find a "Sign Up" option. This will allow you to convert your "anonymous" account into a regular account. This way, should you ever get a new device, or happened to get logged out for some reason, you will be able to log back in and see your watchlist data again. I've already done some server side updates to help ensure anonymous accounts are never logged out. However, I think in a future update I will eliminate anonymous accounts all together as it seems to be a source of some confusion. And instead, replace accounts with Sign in with Apple or just save user watchlists on iCloud.
