  • My complaint was addressed!

Thank you to the kind person who removed the horrible flashing advertisement. Rating updated!
  • So far, so good

I’ve only played three games, but I like it. Navigating is easy. The puzzles have been challenging, but not impossible. Perhaps in the future I will want more challenge, or I will find that there are deeply challenging puzzles out there. One feature that is very helpful, for larger puzzles that use larger numbers, is the handy calculator. I REALLY like that!

  • My only complaint

    5 stars - Great Game
My only complaint is that as soon as you fill in the last correct number that solves the puzzle, a graphic pops up in the middle of the puzzle and prevents you from the seeing the solved puzzle in its entirety before moving on to the next puzzle.
  • As big as 9x9 and clear operation signs

Ability to get hints and to check work is appreciated. It’s also helpful that the operation signs are large enough to visualize on my iPhone (I had a problem with a different app where the division sign and addition signs were indistinguishable).
  • Almost perfect

Compared to the other kenken-esqe puzzle apps I’ve used, this is by far the best. The design is sleek. No overwhelming ads. I love that you use the same number icons for notes and answers, the app designer just needs to have the pencil button highlighted when “note taking” to erase all confusion. I agree with the other reviewer who said it would be nice to have the option to turn off automatic note erasing. When I put in an answer, all my notes in that row and column erase that number. I prefer playing without that feature.

  • Only 1 request

Great free game! No bothersome dynamic graphics on game screen. Between-game ads skip able pretty quickly (and I actually got an add for a site I'll return to for Xmas shopping). One request: hi-light the pencil icon when I'm testing out combos for the squares, and turn off hi-lighting when I tap pencil again to enter my choice. That way I know what mode I'm in and dont make unintended choices. Thanks!

  • Results calulation problem

    Great fun game.

You have to disregard the results calculation though. I eventually solve every puzzle (some are very difficult), but if you look at my stats I average only about 50%.

If you inadvertently enter a different number than the one you intended (small buttons -easy to do) or accidentally enter a number instead of a pencil note — the puzzle is a fail even if you still go on to solve it correctly.

I think if you solve a puzzle without requesting assistance, it should go in the win column.

Tried to contact support but the link only routes you to a page with more games to get.

  • Best KenKen I've found

Saves your puzzle when you leave and come back. The built in calculator is a nice touch. Unlimited puzzles. Ads aren't too annoying. Choice of levels.
I only wish they let you choose difficulty level in addition to digit level (sometimes I want to chill out with multiplication-only).
  • Nice game

Great challenge; I like how the user can adjust the size of the puzzle based on time on hand, state of mind, etcetera. I do wish that the “congratulations/new puzzle” box would not cover the newly completed puzzle. This is one of several apps that I use as cognitive therapy and I’m sure that I’m not the only one who likes to review a “victory” before moving on to the next level. Other than that, (and perhaps bolder lines to delineate cell groups), I find it to be an excellent part of my brain’s daily workout.

  • Great app few great features missing...

This is an overall great app.. for people who are familiar with calcudoku but I’m a beginner and I just wish they would add the feature to select your operation normally calcudoku has random + x - / but I personally find calcudoku much easier to master when you start from a 3x3 only + game.
