  • App Bluetooth connection appalling

Connection between the App and Trolley constantly drops, and now won’t connect at all. Was intermittent until a few weeks ago; now the ability to connect has gone.
The benefits of the M5 are seemingly reduced and not worth paying the extra.
  • Poor App

I just bought the M5 GPS. It GREAT on the course in my experience BUT the App is rubbish. - you can’t show the entire round on one screen, not even 9 holes - it shows on the summary page Fairways hit and greenhead, but even though I entered the data, the overview per hole shows an X at every hole - Doesn’t seem to be any aggregate analysis information overtime…eg progress in the last month, this round compared to last round. Basic stuff you see in may apps I’m disappointed…. Given the success of the product itself, this software backbone needs to quickly and urgently be brought up to par (no pun intended). It wouldn’t seem to me to be an expensive upgrade as all the data is there.

I would also suggest to have a ‘cancel y/n’ step on the cart after hitting ‘Clear Round”

  • Can not save score card!!!

You close the app… and loose your score card… begin to strongly regret my M5 GPS buy… need to spend 60$ for having my score with the performance pack? Somewhat ridiculous…
  • Wonderful & colorful app, totally free, no ads

I've used this app for years. I can't believe there aren't more reviews. It's a unicorn--a fully free golf GPS app that doesn't spam you with email, doesn't ask you to create a membership, doesn't have expensive upgrades for full functionality, and doesn't invade your privacy. The app itself is accurate, has every course I've played (even my new home course in the country I moved to), and it colorful and nice to look at. It's not even that hard on the iPhone's battery.

  • What’s wrong with App

So bought an M5 connect which uses this app to connect to for pin and distance etc. I might has well have bought an M1 as to connect to this app is really difficult. Out of 10 games I’ve used the trolley, I’ve managed to connect the app twice. The connection between the phone and the trolley is ok as it comes up every time, but trying to get the app to work is a complete waste of time. Not sure why, but I’ll never buy another Motocaddy again and this is my third one. If Motocaddy are going to expect players to use their app, then surely they can get it to work 99% of the time. I could have saved myself a couple of hundred £££ and the stress of knowing whether I can use the trolley for my distances or not. Feel very let down

  • Pairing Fixed

Pairing seems to have been fixed now, can use trolley as intended
  • Rendered a £650 obsolete

Downloaded the app on the back of purchasing an M5 Connect DHC in the Black Friday sales.

The app will not pair with the trolley so the whole GPS function is not usable and is the only reason I chose this trolley over other options.

Contacted support to be told they are aware of the issue but have no timescale for an update.

  • App crashes when trying to pair with my M5 Trolley

Having had serious GPS problems for months and having to chase Motocaddy Uk over and over again because they refused to take any action to resolve; even though my trolley was still in warranty. Eventually they replaced the handle and the gps was fixed but I needed to pair the trolley again to access my subscription. The app crashed every time when trying to pair. I was given instructions on various ways to resolve by the Motocaddy sales rep and eventually he told me to contact support and they will talk me through what needed to be done. Support told me that there was a problem with the app and they were working on a fix. But they’ve been working on this for ages.
Motocaddy are sadly lacking with their customer service/support.

  • Poor connection

Been using this app for around 4 years had a few issues but sorted right away, over the last 6 month it’s been very hard to connect it up as not accepting the connection sometimes it will take 2 holes before it would connect, it is now not allow to connect, when you press pair device it goes to main screen on phone hopefully motorcade can sort this issue

  • Bugs need to be addressed ASAP

The app is very buggy and these issues need to be addressed otherwise, I may have to switch from using Motocaddy. The main problem for me is that when I open the app and click pair device, the app immediately closes. Therefore I can only use it on my mobile and now I can no longer get my yardages on my trolley.
