Great app

I’ve been using the app for over a year with no issues. Codes for general surgery, endoscopy, vascular surgery, and percutaneous dialysis interventions are all there with no issues. It would be nice to get updated values for the new 2023 anterior abdominal hernia codes.

Needs an update

RVUs are pre-2021 and no longer applicable. The app was great for quickly looking up CPT codes and their RVU however it is no longer supported and rendered useless. I would increase my rating to 5 if the RVUs would update whenever CMS changes them.

Agree with β€œNice until it resets.”

You can tally the day in one session. You cannot keep a running total. The moment the phone shuts off, the total is lost. Need pencil and paper to keep a running total. Simple, fast, easy to use, not a lot of versatility

Sparse App

All this app can do is to provide the RVU values for a given inserted code. It does not allow for storage of a series of RVU's over a given time period, and does not provide any service to easily access or view codes for procedures that you don't already know the code for. Total waste of money and very misleading App Store presentation. Do not purchase this app.

RVUcalc is simple easy-to-use calculator, as the name implies, and as the description explicity states. It so not designed to be a tracking system, or to store your data. Its primary function is quick tabulation of RVU totals. It also has reference function by providing the AMA's procedure description for entered codes. This is explicit in the app description, and the screenshots provided are of the actual application.

Must Download

Very easy to use! Made calculations simple for each patient visit. A must have!

Great app

This app really opened my eyes to how much I was downcoding my work, and how it was affecting my compensation. I was "leaving a lot on the table" by not billing for smoking cessation discussion, depression screens, etc., but the app has shown me how these codes can add up. I actually THINK about my coding now, and how it translates to my compensation. And that has been priceless. THANK YOU!

Nice until it erases your data

Easy to use. Could have more memory keys (I use maybe 6 codes). Dates would be useful, as I'm trying to track over a week. It would also be nice to be able to upload into Excel. Problem: the app resets over the weekend before I've had a chance to update Friday and record the week's total (especially if I am covering the weekend). The function keys are also no longer programmed. Thus I lose all of my carefully collected data, which renders this app useless. I guess it's back to paper and hatch marks.

The application never resets itself. Data and function keys will be reset whenever the phone itself is reset; this is a function of the phone, not the application. RVUcalc is a simple calculator, and is not designed to be a comprehensive tracking system.

Simple, easy

I have been looking for an app to monitor and track my RVUs. This app allows me to calculate my daily total and audit my employer. You'd be amazed what you find.

Horrible

Waste of time and money
No functionality whatsoever
You enter cpt and it keeps like a notepad
Worthless

Response from developer

The functionality of this app is to allow the user to rapidly tabulate RVU values associated with the CPT codes they enter. It also has quick-entry functionality via use of the "f" buttons. It also has functionality as a reference, supplying the official verbal description, as well as the RVU values associated with codes entered by the user. It is a simple application (by design) but it is actually quite powerful for what it is designed to do.
