  • The app is working, I'm Auv3- no standalone, no standalone though

Im updating my review to reflect that I've gotten the app to work and I'm immediately changing my review to three stars, and will review again after I've thoroughly experimented with this app. Developer responsed almost immediately to my last, quite volatile, review, and I'm actually pleasantly surprised with that; not to mention thatI after hearing just the first sound after plugging it in Audiobus I am so far impressed... Thank you

  • good

I like it I wish it had more parameter changes, but I think this is meant to be more simple, this is the type of synth were I find myself making many patches every time I use it, I also sample my favorite sounds so that I can use them for samplers, very good👍
  • Customizable IPad VSB

You can get a lot of tones out of this, very good ones at that.
  • Retro sounds made easy

Worth it for the "Bottle Blow" preset alone. Lots of fun, works in Audio Bus and GarageBand.
  • Not worth your money

I purchased this and thought it would have either Audio Units Plugins for GarageBand or inter-App audio. But no. Worthy? If you like something that doesn't work with GarageBand and just want to try, sure. But even then it glitches. Not the best. At the least, it works with USB keyboard!
  • Not recommended for iPad Air or below

Love the sound of this app for a single voice. But with polyphony or even fast playing, this app pretty much dies (this is the nicest way I can put it.) Glitches, sputters, and doesn't recover. Other synth apps are working fine (including Moog Model 15 which seems pretty CPU heavy) so either improve the code or only recommend for iPad Air 2 at minimum. (And meanwhile, maybe add a panic button for when it invariably crashes.) Using this within Audiobus 3.

  • What Happened, Klevgränd?

I used to love your apps; the simple design and powerful functionality were a great combination that made them essential.

Your latest releases, however, seem to be less essential and more niche. Recently you've released a weird and unusable vocal synth. A synth specialising in pad sounds that only makes one sound (the presets are just variations on that sound). An electric piano which doesn't sound as good as Korg's Module or even IK's iLectric Piano. And now you release an FM synth. I already own a few FM synths on iOS, and I have to say all of them sound better than this; they provide more control and have a better UI. The only thing this app has going for it is that it's an AudioUnit. Unfortunately, Bram Bos' Phasemaker is also an AU and far superior in every way.

As for the new design theme, it's like a cheap water colour from the late 80s. Please, PLEASE go back to the clean and simple look of old. It was what first attracted me to your apps. Not only was there nothing wrong with it, it was arguably the best on the App Store.

  • I like it but preset saving does not work

First, I could not create a preset in the standalone version. Using it with cubasis, I created a preset and the next time I used cubasis it was deleted. Please fix these problems and I will raise rating.
  • Elegant and simple

Apps from this developer are like Marmite; you either love them or hate them. I'm impressed by the simplicity and elegance of this offering. Unlike the Swiss Army knife approach favoured by some rivals, these guys embrace AU and set out to do one thing very well. In that they succeed.

  • Just get it

Another great from Klevgr. Just the presets alone are worth the price.
