  • It stopped working

I was having a lot of fun making new designs and playing with the different options. It was great. I would work on them all the time because it was a great way to relax and feel a bit constructive. Then the app stopped opening. When I try to open it, a blank black screen pops up, and I can’t do a thing with it. I am extremely disappointed because this was the best of all the similar apps that I’ve tried.

  • Love the art

I’m so in love how many things I can do. Bro I fake it it’s petted cool I made 30 of this art thing and show it to my family. They all look so surprise how many thing I can with this app. In my opinion I think it cool I idk how other people may think about this app. I screenshot two or three of my favorite art and I frame it up in my room.

  • Could be perfect.

This is a great app. There’s SO many options. So many different pens and shapes and colours. Well worth the £5 unlock. But I find myself going back to Amazograph simply because this doesn’t allow you to set default colours for things like background or pens. So I start a new mandala. I have to change the background to white. Every time. Then set the grid lines to black so I can see them properly. I select a pen. I have to change it from the random colour it’s set itself and back to the colour I use most (black). If you could set default options like white background for the grid. Black lines for the grid and black pencil, then change them as and when you need/want to I’d use it a lot more. As it stands I find it irritating having to change them every single time so I use amazograph.

Edit - Received a response from the developer giving me a work around and promising an update to fix defaults. Thank you! Really appreciate it. So definitely 5 stars from me.

    Developer Response

Thanks for the feedback! I didn't realize the defaults weren't working. I'll post an update soon. In the meantime, if you duplicate a project that has the settings you like the new project should maintain all of those.
  • Seems decent

From what minimal screen time I’ve had with this it seems decent. Debating on purchase , but comprehensive details on what purchase yields are not present. What file types can be exported? Can a symbol or design be imported? Etc. Well laid out, easy to use, with good results.
  • Mandala

I love this app because it’s so fun and it helps me explain the colours of my feelings and how I feel in the now
  • Not what I was expecting

    F do not buy this
  • Okay but limited

Easy of access and having even just the basic starter tool of any program (undo) behind a paywall is a bit much. I can understand paying for brushes and other features, but the undo option is a bit of a reach to have to pay for. In addition the symmetry points scale abstractly, skipping quantities with no real reasoning. I wanted to draw with a 16 point symmetry but the scaling skips it by going from 12 point to 18 point with no in betweens. It should minimally scale at least in pairs. And finally it would be nice if you could change symmetries more readily while drawing. Having done mandalas on paper, it’s nice being able to start on low symmetry, anywhere from 3 to 8 point, and then step up as you go further out.

If you want just a simple app then this is fine, but if you want more control and precision this isn’t for you.

  • Surprised!

Have had what seems like thousands of apps that will " help set loose my untapped imagination". Problem is that my imagination seems to be a popular wine oak barrel. Well tapped, and flows abundantly.
BUT this app has found a new setting in my brain. And I loved it from the start. So many choices without any angst. So many alleys to explore, doors to open. Thank You Damien.

  • Great App

Love this app. It helps me a lot with my creativity and to keep me entertained. Some of my friends use it as well and we share our art every time.

However, there is only one issue. Before we were able to name each of our mandalas, and with the new update we can’t do it anymore. Is there any way that you could bring the naming back?

    Thanks a lot

  • Frequent crashes

Edit 2: Upgrading rating to 3.5. The latest update fixed most of the issues. But it still keeps crashing a lot. It’s still a great app and lots of fun.

Edit: This is a very enjoyable app, and a time-sink if you’re not careful. Haha But, frequent crashes are a huge issue. With the newest update, the crashes have gotten worse. The mandala doesn’t close and you have to exit the app. When you reopen the app, many or all layers within the crashed image become blank. Another issue is when switch between tools, the canvas resets to the centre instead of staying on the zoomed-in part.
