Puzzles problems
So many problems with the puzzle page. App frequently won’t allow me to open the puzzles. Also I like to do the word search- quite often when I open the puzzle it says the puzzle has been completed before I’ve had a chance to try it. Then the next day the puzzles are showing as ok to do - ie not completed. What is going on? It is very frustrating.Show lessEnfieldsnowman
Apalling Change
This new version is appalling. I am a paid subscriber of The West and am bombarded by ads. It is hard to tell what is an ad and an actual news item. Disappointing as I use it throughout the day to check the latest news. I don’t always have time to read through the whole newspaper. The ‘latest’ news is always yesterdayShow lessPTKK1964
Very good
I love being able to download the paper and read it as I choose. No wet paper, no looking in the shrubs for it, no fighting over different sections, no ink on my hands and bench top. And cheap price as well.
As for adverts, how do whingers think publishers keep afloat?

Needs a lot more effort
It crashes regularly, the layout is awful, it’s clunky to navigate, you can’t look at the pictures separately, an article is cut off of it spans two pages, it zooms out when you try scroll across a zoomed in page.
I could go on. But like the paper version, it’s the only one we’ve got in WA.Goight
Much improved
The original app was woeful, but the updated version is excellent. Tapping on the blue heading brings up the text of the story in an easy to read format.Kensingtonlad

Horrible
Updated review. After a few weeks I still think its a dreadful app that is several steps backwards. They seem to have added a few more bugs recently as when returning to the app it often fails to load articles and needs to be restarted.
Banners and ads make it an unpleasant reading experience. With other newspaper apps that are far better I will probably cancel this subscription.Show lessBusseltonFood
Unusable
I downloaded the new app to continue my access to the digital edition of The West Australian. I have barely been able to access the newspaper since. The app crashes almost every time it is opened and when it does open, it is difficult for me to navigate to the newspaper tab and download the latest edition. I have the app because I have poor eyesight and can no longer read the hardcopy edition.Show lessjsteveo
Disappointing
I used to enjoy this app, but now I'm disappointed with the new update where all the articles are full of google ads! Plus this annoying banner ad at the bottom of the news that doesn't disappear! I thought paying for a subscription would mean no ads! I will be cancelling my subscription and reading the news elsewhere. I'm not paying a premium price for ads!Show lessBrenza

Why in gods name do you have to put that stupid live podcast band across the bottom of the screen. It automatically pops up on my screenMaking it impossible to read news articles. Plus you put the stupid NEDS ADVERT on there. I understand you need to put on ADS but seriously do you have to put it right across the bottom of the banner so that you cant actually navigate to anything.
