Not good
Got the new update today, and now everything is oversized and can see the fielding ratings
Gouging your customers
Itβs amazing to me that this app is $5 per month or the bargain price of $50 per year. This despite the fact that every year customers spend $50-$100 on the new game and the old seasons. Just canβt believe the lack of respect for those who have been most loyal. I purchase card images for the computer game, yet I canβt get them on my phone unless I pay $50 more per year? Really ridiculous.

Way too expensive
Come on Strat. Spend around $100 or so every year for computer software and updated rosters, now looking to charge us another $50 to have digital copies of our cards?
Outrageous. Really taking advantage of your loyal community.
That being said, app seems good quality, if a bit cumbersome.

Quick trigger on upcharges
Only had the app installed 5 minutes before it hit me with a pop up window and looked to have me sign up for a very expensive annual or monthly deal. Strat is usually an expensive product, but this seems much harsher than usual.
Waited a long time to see them with a quality mobile option, such a shame it is a bait and switch right out of the gate.
Quite a disappointment because some of the features seemed worth exploring.

App Not Accurate &Strat Refuses to fix game
Cards are not accurate. J Jay of Chicago currently has a HR roll against RHP but has not hit one so far this year. Also, what good is it when stratomatic refuses to invest in fixing their Windows game. Year after year they say they are working on it. Buy buy this for $50.00 per year. They have as much chance of me doing that as I have of them fixing their lousy product.

App isn't "free"
What a joke.. you have to pay now for either a monthly or yearly subscription??
That doesn't sound free to me!!

Cool app, should be free
I really enjoyed this when it was free, but after downloading it I was informed that they were going to start charging. I don't appreciate the bait and switch. And since its just a reference I don't think they should be charging.
Realistically no one is going to roll a game of Strat using this app. It's too cumbersome for that. I really liked looking up seasons and players and checking out stats (like the pre 87 steal numbers that were updated for Advance!), i was looking for seasons to purchase. And now I can't.
Coupled with the outrageous prices they charge for shipping, I wonder if Strat just assumes that they can gouge their community. This is a really great tool to introduce people to Strat, but charging for it doesn't make sense.

Great research app
Instead of getting a whole season you can look up the teams you like.
Out-of-app Purchases! Beware!
I'm a casual/lapsed Strat player and I downloaded the app figuring that, as no in-app purchases were noted, this would be a great way to check out and remember cards I've played with that are boxed in storage. Well... to see even one card, you get pushed to the SOM website, where you must pay for a subscription - either $4.99/month or $49.99/year. So, don't be deceived into thinking this is a free app, because it's not. Hey, SOM, people have to buy a set to get all the charts, and have to have the seasons to get ballpark factors and what-not. $50 for a year of rights to just look at cards is pretty savagely steep. I'm still a Strat fan but I'm no fan of this app! At least be up front and let people know they'll be expected to shell out more money to get any sort of use out of the app!!!

What's the point?
I love Strat but I'm not sure why I should pay money to look at cards without being able to play with them.
About the app itself, it's really laggy with lots of long load times (to load a simple image, not sure what's going on there). It crashes a lot. It plays a sound effect on loading, which pauses anything you're already listening to. Cards for players with lots of positions cut off some of the important fielding info. Lots of players have listings for lineouts without the corresponding fielder reference. Some stat lines don't match the stats (I noticed 19th century players with slugging percentages equal to BA even though they hit doubles).
Basically a ton of stuff that could use work and not much appeal for me. It's a nice idea but the appeal wears off quickly because it doesn't really have a function.
