I’ve never left a review for an app but this deserves so much credit. I’ve been able to actually do something when I feel that I can’t do much. They have a script for what to say, they take you directly where you need to go, and they have a brief but we’ll informed summary of the issue you are calling about beforehand so you completely understand the issue before you get on the phone. Genius app, more people should download this.

I get really anxious on the phone
And this app is so helpful. It gives you a brief description of each issue, a script to read when you call, and then a button for you to track the outcome of your call (i.e., called, left a voicemail, didn’t reach, etc). It also gives you the option to set a reminder to call on certain days of the week. I’m going to set a New Year’s resolution to spend a few minutes on this each week!
P. S. You can call on the weekends and it’ll take you to voicemail if you don’t want to talk on the phone!

I’ve Been Needing This App All My Life!
I would like to be an involved and engaged citizen, but I don’t always have money to donate to causes and candidates I care about and I don’t always have time to go to protests or canvas. This app makes it so easy to call my reps. I used to be intimidated by having to research the issue, so I would know what to say… no more! Cannot recommend highly enough! For people who have anxiety about talking on the phone, call after hours and leave a voicemail.

A great necessity and easy to use!
I have been using your app for about 4 years now. Thank you for the work your doing it is so important for everyone to use this app. You make it easy for people like me to call and state the issues. The hardest part is picking the issues I should call on. You have so many that need a voice, please don’t stop what your doing. You are helping the every day citizens to get involved and have a voice! I wish you had the phone numbers of our local state government.
A lot more damage starts at the state legislators offices. It would be nice to know what bills they are quietly trying to push through. Issues like districts being drawn in Republican’s favor. In a lot of districts it’s almost impossible to get a Democrat elected because of the way the district lines are made. Abortion rights is another big issue that’s controlled locally. I love what your organization has done already. I would love to see an app that deals with each of the states local officials. Thanks for all you’ve done and are doing.

Easy to use and straightforward-but biases
I love how easy this app is to use and the support! It really makes it easy to contact local legislators and helps remove barriers.
That being said, it is very much left leaning and I think at this point, blaming “the rights want this” or “republicans messed this up” isn’t actually helping and is only further dividing. People aren’t contact the reps only for those that are in the same party, we are contacting EVERYONE. So please present the information less biasedly.
Also, would be helpful to be able to combine topics into one statement. Abortion + trans + etc. rather than one at a time.

Seriously? Can't choose which side to support!
Why in the world would I want to support the garbage you all think I may want to support? Any kind of firearms restrictions, well you can shove it, and find a hobby like shooting sports! Waste more money on climate change, seriously think it will change things? Well, just let it be. Crazy leaders we funnel money to will blow the entire Earth to pieces before you ever notice anything. Voter suppression is just another made up term just like assault weapon. You can't suppress a person who is not eligible to cast a ballot because of their citizenship status. And if they are irresponsible enough to lose their ID, well they really shouldn't be worried about what thief they can put in office like the Big Guy. Less government and support for those who aren't going to tell you lies about their overseas business dealings and how much money they sold you out for and how much money they made selling China the cobalt to power electric vehicles. So let me choose to be on the other side of these so called phone calls. Otherwise, this is nothing but a sham app that needs to be removed!

Excellent resource
I want to make a difference but am so busy I haven’t had time to independently research progress on issues I feel are most important. This app makes it easy to get up to speed on most of the topics for which I am most passionate - environment, healthcare, reproductive rights, LGBTQ rights, education, housing, civil responsibility, social justice. Thank you for making it easy to see where we are and what we can do to make our society better.

Obviously Biased
It is clear that this app is influenced by political liberals. However, it is well-designed and user -friendly. Political neutrality is more important to me these days, so I make the calls and just change my requests based on my own beliefs as opposed to blindly taking the App’s suggestions. For instance, I don’t support LGBTQ, so I called my Senators to let them know that I demand they vote against all such legislation that supports use of hormones or sex change surgery in minors who barely know right from wrong. Our country is being destroyed by “wokeness”. If the app provided email addresses to send letters, that would be helpful as well.

An app truly for the people
While too many people waste their lives on Facebook, often complaining about but rarely taking action on political matters, 5 Calls offers an informative and simple solution. It is among my favorite apps to help me stay informed and engaged. Following the name, I made a commitment to make at least 5 calls per week... that’s just one per day. Everyone has that much time, and imagine the impact if we all did that! Stay inspired, informed and engaged!

How many apps help with malaise from current affairs? THIS ONE.
Considering how intense and contentious political life in the US is, it can be easy to despair at what we can *actually do.* The number of changes that need to happen in our country (and world) can easily overwhelm even the most positively minded person. And this app helps. It helps take real action and it helps me *stay focused* on the items that are most important to me. The cognitive load of collecting phone numbers, researching the issue for what to say on the phone, and then actually making the call may not take time, but it can feel like a chore, and this app makes it bonkers easy to do the thing without it feeling like a chore. Stop kvetching and *start acting* with this app!
