Description of Memory Verses †

Memorize the KJV Bible in this fun, hangman-style game. Watch the keys disappear as you guess what letters are in the verse, or use your microphone to recite the whole verse and then see if you got it right. - Use the microphone button to say the verse out loud - Entire offline KJV Old and New Testaments - 2 difficulty settings - Reveal the next letter with the ??? button - Easily move to the next verse How To Play ------------------- Choose any verse from the King James Bible. All the letters in the verse will be hidden. When you tap a letter on the keyboard it will appear if it is in the verse. If you get stuck, tap the ??? key to reveal the next letter. Microphone ------------------- Use the microphone button to speak or type the whole verse at once. This mode works really well when you also have the difficulty set to "Verse". As you say the verse you can see the words fill in. Difficulty ------------------- You can choose Verse or Letter difficulty. These effect how many letters you can reveal at a time. In Verse mode every letter in the verse that matches your guess is revealed. In Letter mode only the next letter is revealed if it matches. Letter mode is suprisingly hard, and can be very useful for helping you memorize the verse. Thank you ------------------- I hope you enjoy this app and find it useful. Reviews of Memory Verses †

  • Awesome

This game is so much fun I love It and highly recommend.
  • Not Good

I don’t think that this app is good. It doesn’t challenge you the way that I was hoping. Any letter you type, it just gives you all the places where that letter goes in that scripture. I was hoping that you had to type the entire verse out, but that’s not the case. I find that reading the scripture(s) many times and meditating on it really does help…but also either physically writing it down several times or in this case for an app, type it. That’s what I was hoping for because I have a hard time learning/getting things down or remembering certain things as time goes on. So I was just hoping that in this case I could keep some scripture in my head at all times, remember them so I could use it for encouragement or advice or whatever….so God could possibly use me in any situation. This app does not do it for me.

    Developer Response

If you change the difficulty setting to “Letter” then the app will only fill in the next letter. This is much more challenging than the default “verse” style play. You really have to memorize the verse to get it on “letter” difficulty. Sorry you did not have a good initial experience. Hopefully playing on “letter” mode will be closer to what you want.
  • Thank you

I was hesitant about getting the app since I didn’t know that the game was based on the KJV. But I’m happy I clicked and even more joyful that I read the description 😅 usually I don’t. I can’t wait to use the app the description made it sound like a lot of fun. Did I write a review before using the app? Yes. Do I care? Nope.
