  • Fun and frustrating!

This game is a fun way to strategize for the success of your candidate. Should they spend a lot of money to campaign in West Virginia? That depends on whether they have an advantage with the manufacturing groups that dominate there. Knowing your candidate’s strengths and weaknesses and positioning them to your advantage against your opponents will put you ahead... but you can’t relax! Your opponent can out-campaign you and steal away your states, so pay attention to your early turns and set yourself up for success in the endgame.

The game can be frustrating because just when you think you’re safe, your opponent can surge ahead. The app is also a bit buggy at times, but it’s not aggravating enough to me to take off a whole star on the rating.

  • Great game, would love to see some new features

I’ll start off by saying I absolutely love this game, I go through phases where it’s the only app on my phone I even open. This game is more about managing money than politics, but it is very fun and addicting. With that said, I would love to see more political aspects added, such as the ability to have debates in different states, or to run media campaigns (for your player or against your opponent) and have those also affect your likelihood of winning a state. All in all, this game is awesome and I love it as is, I would just love to watch it develop even further.

  • We can’t stop playing!!

My friends and I are all poli sci majors in college. We’re spread out across the country, and stuck doing remote learning all day because of COVID, but being able to play 270 together has truly made Friday nights fun again.
This game has got all the excitement of Risk and other classic territory oriented games, except more complex and far more entertaining if you like politics. The strategic element of 270 is unbeatable, and you get so caught up in spending, acting, and thinking like your chosen candidate. Additionally, the gameplay itself is streamlined and easy to follow, and the candidate caricatures are hilarious. (@ted Cruz!!)
My only criticism would be that sometimes when you’re kicked out of a game it doesn’t allow you to spectate. It happens on and off, and maybe it’s just a bug that needs to be fixed, not too big a deal.

  • My Favorite Strategy game on IOS !

If you are like me and you love strategy games, you will LOVE this game. It’s such a fun game to kill some time and it’s easy to play with people around you. It’s not expensive either if you are like me and use the same couple of favorite candidates, you can get all the fun features on this game for less than $10 or get a subscription to test out who you like or whatever. It’s very stimulating and you can have a lot of fun without spending any money on it also. (But then you don’t get famous past presidents) 10 out of 10 definitely worth it. You might start playing this game and find yourself telling everyone around you about it!

  • Best Political Game That I’ve played in a while

I was first introduced to the game 270 by a good friend of mine during my summer break. Ever since then, I must say that I immediately became addicted to the game. I enjoyed interacting with the overall mechanics of the game. On my IPhone I was always able to challenge fellow games seamlessly. The cartoon graphics of the political characters also stood out to me since it gave it a sort of “retro mobile”vibe to overall experience. I was also amazed by the near accuracy of the accurate political data that was incorporated into shaping the national and state interests groups as well as the plus and minuses that each political candidate would bring to the table( eg. Donald Trump would have a plus with the Conservative National group but a minus with the Youth Group). As a Political Science major and Presidential nerd I was ecstatic to find this in the game. My only complaints is that I wished that the presidential primaries were free and that debates were incorporated. Nonetheless, I’d highly recommend this mobile game to anyone who wants to learn about American electoral politics in a chill and fun way!

  • Awareness through turmoil

It’s not secret that the political climate in today’s America is tumultuous. A lot of proud Americans are finding it harder and harder to openly praise their country for its accomplishments due to the horrors of the current establishments. That’s why a game like this is so refreshing. It is not partisan at all in which players it chooses, and in a way, it satirizes the current political system by showing how it’s all just a “pay-to-win”. On a gameplay level, it appeals so well to tactical players on its complex mechanics and unpredictable nature. There are so many ways to play that almost anyone can find it enjoyable. This really is a wonderful game that anyone can enjoy. 5 stars.

  • Fun & Addictive

The developers are very responsive and engaged with their customers. They’ve always replied within a day to my feedback messages and they’ve taken seriously every suggestion from the community on improving the game, such as adding new candidates and changing how turns and forfeiting work. I’m excited for them to add debates so the campaigns can be more dynamic, but even as it is it’s really fun.

This game provides a great outlet for creating “what if” scenarios with various candidates. It’s great for learning strategy and it should be in the same category as the board game Risk.

You choose different lobbying groups and states to campaign for, and each candidate has various strengths and weaknesses. For the most part these are realistically proportioned, although I think Ronald Reagan should be a lot stronger. New Jersey and Missouri should count as African American states and Arizona should not. Georgia should count as an Agricultural state and the Ag bonus should be larger.

I’m especially excited for when the updates come out that will allow you to “time travel” and run for President with historical electoral maps and historical lobbying groups.

  • Top strategical game

Great strategical game where you get to play against friends or people from around the world.
You can play against the AI but once you understand the game this is too easy. I look forward to the improved hard AI.
Struggled to find games comparable to this, I highly recommend

  • 270 app review

5 stars ⭐️. I got this game not to long ago and I’ve been playing it nonstop. It’s a great way to learn about the electoral college and have some fun along the way. It is very easy to navigate and easy to learn. I like the idea of the state and national groups you can take control of to get extra funds. It really helps that you can practice against the AI or play 2 people with your friends. I would enjoy it a little bit more of there were more Democratic candidates is the game. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to play a fun game about the electoral college. Regards, Christian
