New calculations in the calculation tool
As of today, you can now perform even more calculations in the Packaging Steel App by yourself.
After entering weight, width and thickness of your coil, you can determine its length. On this basis you can see how many packing units you will be able to manufacture. In addition, you can use the proven sheet and coil calculator to execute interactive calculations which will support you in your daily work.
Glossary
The glossary is a new feature in the latest version of the Packaging Steel App. Here you will find helpful explanations regarding the most important terminology of our product range.
Sustainability
The new section “Sustainability” provides an overview of various sustainability factors when using tinplate as a packaging material. Find out more about the packaging material with the highest recycling rate in Europe, about its recyclability and the material cycle of steel.

At the world’s largest production site for packaging steel, located in Andernach, thyssenkrupp produces tin coated or electrolytically chromium coated steel in thicknesses of 0.100 to 0.499 mm – either with or without organic coatings (lacquer, polymer).
