Doesn’t work
I paid $79.99 for what looked like a cool camera only to find out you HAVE to have an account to access anything on it. no USB, no nothing. and Whenever i open the app i cant even log into my account. Wasted $80 on this camera because the app doesn’t work. not to mention technical support did absolutely nothing to help.Show lessJonathhhann
Great when it decides to work...
I open the app to check the camera fairly often and most of the time I get a message, “Camera connection timeout” and it doesn’t work at all. And yes my wifi is working fine.psesh

Wish you would have the option to be able to select the date and time instead of having to scroll through the timeline!Blahhhjhhhhhhhhh

App doesn’t work
I bought installed and tested my e2ee camera. Worked great with the app. After 2 hours texted video playback. A bit of learning curve but manageable. I left for 3 hours, came back and now the app won’t open. “Oops! Try again” message is all that comes up. It’s the app issue, not the cameras. But with out the app the camera is a paperweight.Show lessCactus grid
Better than Nest!
Absolutely love the Youipcams app. I have been using it for a while now, and it is quite nice. The team continues to work on improving performance. The encryption is a huge factor that makes me feel safe having several cameras in my home. I also implement and old iPhone as a security camera as well and have even added another camera brand to my home security lineup. The time-lapse feature directly from the app is also excellent. You can view events from a day in 10 second, 30 second, or one minute intervals! Love it!Show lessJakethesnakeonaplane
Hope it gets better.
I chose a haicam camera because of the encryption, and I still think it is the only choice I am comfortable with having in my home.
The problems I hope to see future updates address are...
1. I am unable to export video to my ios device. Every time I try it crashes the app. So I dont hav a good way to save videos shoul I need to.
2. I would like to have more control over the camera within the app. I would like to be able to switch to night mode manually and be able to adjust volume.
I will definitely up the rating as they update the app to work on these items.Show lessWesWl
